You Saved Me
The Truth is Revealed
Katie's POV: Something Dahvie said earlier, while we were trying to get him to his bunk keeps racing through my head. "Don't believe me, then check the glove box in the car." Hmm...glove box, huh? We shall see then. I grab the keys and head out into the cool January night, and unlock the car. I hop in the drivers side then lean over the passengers side to open the glove compartment. When I do, a small stack of papers falls out, onto the floor board, and I pick them up. I place them under my arm, then close the compartment and head back in, pressing the lock button as I go. I hop back in the bus, then pull the papers out and look at them. They're from a lab, here in Oklahoma, and then I see mine and Jayy's names. My brow furrows as I read closer, and when I get to the bottom, it says there was a positive close DNA match between Jayy and me. Off to the side, in Dahvie's handwriting it says, "Spoke with Jayy's mom, and she said she adopted him." My jaw falls open, and the world around me fades to black... Jayy's POV: I quickly grab Micro before she fell over, and ask Adrian to take her to her bunk. He agrees and picks her up from my arms, then I grab the papers she had been reading. Something in here shocked or upset her so bad she fainted, and I want to know what. I read the papers and can't believe what I'm seeing. So my mom...no. She would have told me! Dahvie, what have you done? I glare back to the bunk area, then throw the papers on the table, and storm back to my bunk. On my way though, I see Micro's peaceful face, and grab three bottles of water from the fridge. I know Micro wouldn't want me to hold this against Dahvie, so I place a bottle next to him, with a bottle of Tylenol, and a bottle of water next to Micro. I then take mine to my bunk with me, then hop in myself. I lay there, wondering what to do with this new found knowledge. I'll sleep on it. That's what.
