A water faerie...
Annabel was a water faerie.
She hadn't told us.
A WATER FAERIE.
Her hair was now a gleaming dark blue, so dark it was almost black. It swayed lightly as a salty ocean breeze ran over our stunned entourage. Two five foot wings sprouted from her narrow shoulders that had a mixture of baby blue, dark blue and Caribbean sea green feathers, ripping out of her My Chemical Romance t-shirt, exposing the straps of her black bra.
In front of her, CC and the Julian kid were sat on their butts, staring at the young vocalist with obvious surprise.
Even as far away from her as I was, i could see the gleaming tears welling in Annabel's sorrowful eyes.
STOP STARING AT ME!
Woah. What was that?
I KNOW I'M A MONSTER, STOP STARING!
It that... Annabel's voice? But she isn't talking, and her lips aren't moving... How is this happening?
Please... S-stop.
The tears have earnestly begun to pour down the 17 year old's face now, her wings twisting, preparing to take flight. I ran forward toward her as she bolted up into the empty air and toward the horizon.
"Annabel, wait!"
She didn't look at me, or CC, or anyone. She was gone.
