Being Free
Andy POV
We just got to the city of F.E.A.R. We walked for days to get here. My army may be small but we were strong in ourselves, I believe we could win. CC said I was crazy to lead them into battle after being attacked. That we should wait till every one is healed so we were not so small in numbers. Jinxx said it was a good plan that F.E.A.R would never think that we would attack right after being attacked ourselves. The little black book helped with planning. It had a map of the whole city. Everyway to get in and out. It was easy to read it even told us were most shadows would be. We were going to attack from the west side. There was a small door that lead right into the cells that you would not know was there not in less you knew it was there. We would go in and take down the three shadows that blocked the doors to the cells, free everyone we could and try to bury the ones that we could not save in time....
We stopped ten miles away from F.E.A.R's city for the night. I knew I had to sleep but I could not get the thoughts out of my head. I got up from laying on the ground on a blanket and walked over to the fire that Jinxx built earlier. It was almost out but I didn't pother trying to keep it alive I just watched the embers slowly die out.
"Hey you need to get some rest." I heard JInxx voice from behind me.
"I cant..."
"Is Lillianna your worried about?"
"Jinxx what if were to late she could be taking her last breath right now for all I know. I had to be the one to fined Juliet I don't want to have to do that again will Lilli." I said running my fingers threw my hair. It has gotten longer since I first met Lilli it was about down to my shoulders.
"Your not going to fined her. She is just going to be locked in a cell most likely." Jinxx said sitting beside me and patting my back.
"Jinxx she is F.E.A.R's kid and she picked us over him do you really think he is just going to lock her away and not do anything to her. That dose not sound like him at all."
"Well maybe he is being nice to her and not doing what he would do if it was some one else."
"I-" I stopped talking when a great pain went threw my head. I bent over and held my head between my hands.
I walked into the tower to have a little boy with black hair that kind of looked like Jinxx run around me from behind followed by another one just with blond hair.
"Please no running." I heard Sammi's voice from somewhere.
I walked into the kitchen to see woman with brown hair feeding a little girl with bright blue eyes mushed bananas that was sitting in a high chair. She got up to put the bowl in the sink. I quickly walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed the three inch long scares on the right side of her neck.
I blinked and I was back in the desert in front of the fire with Jinxx.
"What did you see?"
"I don't know but I think maybe Sammi is pregnant."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because I see n a little kid that looked like you and it was in the tower. Who else stays in the tower?"
"But I don't stay in the tower."
"I know but no one but the legion and there family goes in the tower."
"True. Was that all you seen?"
"Yeah." I said not waning to get my hopes up about the girl with brown hair being Lillianna.
"I think I'll go to bed now, that vision kinda took it out of me. I don't think I have ever seen that far ahead before." I said standing up and walking back to my blanket. I laid down on my back with my arms under my head. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
I woke up to having the sun right in my face. It was quickly blocked by Ashley standing over me.
"Rise and shine." Ashley said smirking.
All I did was flip him off and set up. I stood up and then bent down to grab my blanket.
"Are you ready for today?" Ashley asked
"Are you?" I asked folding my blanket.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
I nodded and walked up to the person that would keep up with the blankets. Every one that had something to do like take care of food an water didn't have to fight that just had to stay here till sunrise the next day and if no one showed up they could leave.
After an hour we, we being me, Ashley, Jinxx, CC, Jake and the army, all had gotten up and ate, we started to walk to the city wall.
When we were 20 feet away from the door five shadows appeared in front of us.
Out of the corner of my eye I seen CC smirk. He stepped in front of them and punched the ground making the earth quake and crack. The shadows quickly disappeared letting us run into the dark hall way that held all the cells.
Dark was not the word you would us when talking about this hallway. It was just black that all you really could see some places had slight light running threw it. But it was just mostly just darkness. We started braking locks as soon as we walked in. Some people were chained to the walls, some were tied to beds. Some even tried to fight us thinking we were there to hurt them.
I was helping a woman and her little girl out of the chines around there wrist when Jake yelled.
"Ashley help them ok?" I said standing up.
He nodded and bent down to help them. I walked down the hall way the way Jake's voice came from. I walked about ten feet till I seen crouched over two women and a little boy, he was hugging one of the women. I walked closer to see that it was Lauren, Ella, and that little boy Lilli talks to all the time Chris.
"Andy look there ok. Ella's okay." Jake said smiling and kissing Ella
"Where's Anna? Did you save Anna yet?" Chris asked pulling on arm.
"I'm going to don't worry." I said smiling back at him.
"I don't know why she left the cell I told her to stay here. Why did I fall asleep I should have stayed up with her." Ella said as tears starting running down her face.
"You mean that Lilli stayed in this cell with you guys? F.E.A.R didn't do anything to her he just locked her up?" I asked
"At first yeah and then she took Chris's place for "classes" and I didn't see here for I think two maybe three days I don't know its hard to keep up with time down here. Anyways she came back and she was really beat up and she gave me a knive and I picked the lock to let her in the cell so she could rest. You didn't want to see her trust me she was covered with blood and so many cuts. I didn't mean to but I feel back asleep when she came back and I should have stayed up-"
"Shh its okay it was not your fault at lest your alive. Do you know what may thay took her before maybe they took her back there again." Jake said softly trying to clam her down since she had tears running down her cheeks and she was starting to run her words together at the end.
"T-that way." Lauren said. That was the first time she spoke I realized why she didn't before because she was also crying. She was pointing down the way I came from.
"Theres a hallway that leads off to the side you cant see it if your walking to the cell. Like the way you came Andy." She said wiping her cheeks with the back of her hand.
"Alright well I'll-"
"Andy! Andy I found Anna!" I heard Jinxx yell from where Lauren was pointing.
I quickly ran out of the cell and quickly found the hallway. It was dark but not to dark to see. I walked for about five minutes passing bodies as I went. Not a one moved or cried out so I didn't bother checking to see if they were alive. I found Jinxx crouched in front of Lillianna there was a dead half shadow half woman laying in a pool of dired blood behind him. Lillianna was laying on the wall her head laying to the left side with her eyes closed. In her right hand was a small throwing knife.
"She is not dead but she is very close. We need to start treating her as soon as we can. First we have to make sure she is going to wake up if she don't she may be in a coma and that's something we really don't want." Jinxx said moving out of the way slightly.
"Do you want me-"
"I'll do it just go help the others." I said moving to crouch in front of her.
"Okay." Jinxx said getting up and walking away.
After he was out of sight I moved to sit beside Lilli. I softly touched her face it was crusty with dried blood. I tried to move my thumb to wipe some of it away but it didn't do anything.
"Lilli."
Nothing
"Lilli can you hear me? If so you have to do something so I know your awake."
Again nothing.
"Please wake up." I said shaking her shoulder slightly
I faintly heard her moan it was very soft though.
"Lilli if you can hear me open your eyes do something. Please." I said shaking her again and gabbing her hand.
I felt her grip my hand tightly. I smiled and looked up at her face to see her eyes open slightly.
I heard her mumble something.
"What?" I asked moving closer to her and smiling like a crazy person.
Lilli my Lilli was awake! She may not be okay but she was awake. I have never been so happy bout someone being awake in my life. I moved my hand to touch Lilli's cheek.
"I said you changed your hair." Lilli said smiling slightly.
When she did her bottom lip started to bleed slightly. I laughed at her slightly.
"You almost slip into a coma and when you wake up that's all you can say?" I asked standing up then bending down to pick her up.
"I love you." Lillianna said softly grapping onto my shirt tightly.
"I love you too." I said walking out of the hallway and down the other hallway to walk out into the warm sun. I didn't realize how cold it was in there till I walked back out side. I seen everyone plus the people we freed. Some where walking fine and helping others. Most needed help but we made it. I didn't see any dead bodies though. There was to many to save to carry the dead. I walked up beside Ashley packing a little girl and also having I'm guessing her mother lean on him. I nodded at him getting a nod back. I looked foreword to home. To being free.
