"W-what?" I choked out "Did I not make myself clear? For me to trust you, you must kill your brother. He never follows the rules he is always writing stories about the rebels. I don't want him giving the other kids ideas!" He yelled banging his hands on the arm rest of his chair. Now that I think about it that's all that was really in the room was a chair and the door I came threw. All I could do was nod and leave the room. I could not kill my little brother. He was the only family I really had left. I had my mother yeah but she was always a work trying to make ends meet. I never really got to see her much. Before I could leave the room F.E.A.R said one more thing that broke me. "Anna I want this done by tomorrow. Have a lovely day and I hope to see you soon with the head of your brother." Ones I left the room I seen the same demon thing waiting for me outside. I almost screamed when I seen it since it was standing right outside the door making me almost run into it. Un like last time when I blinked it didn't go away it was still there ugly as ever. "I will take you home and I will come back to pick you up in the morning." It said walking down the hall the same way we came before.When I got home I went straight into my room and to my dresser. I looked under it to see a black box made out of cardboard. I pulled it out and opened it to see the only thing I had left of my best friend. Her clothes. I don't know what I was doing but I started putting them into the only other bag I could fined in the house since I left mine at school. The only thing I did know was that I was not going to kill Asher even if that meant me having to die as well. But don't think I was just going to stand by and do nothing I was going to run away with Asher if he would come with me and hope and pray to what ever God was out there that we could fined somewhere to be safe, somewhere that Asher didn't have to hide his gift, and somewhere that we could call home. I packed all of Eve's clothes and some of mine. I never liked having to wear bright colors all the time but if it kept my family safe I didn't see the point of making a big deal out of it ether. After packing all of the clothes witch was not very much I went down the hall to the kitchen and started to pack water and food. That was not much ether maybe enough to keep me and Asher alive in the desert for maybe a month at most and that would be stretching it to a deadly level. I could have took all of it but I had to leave my mother with something. Why not take her with me? Because this is her home and It would be wrong of me to take her away from it besides now she wont have to look after me and Asher she can get a better house with the money she saves on food. When I got done with packing I went back to my room to change there was no way I was going walking in the desert with a sweater on. Plus I need to wait till Asher got home anyways I would have to use his bag to pack his clothes. After two hours of waiting and thinking Asher came home to see me sitting on our old dusty couch with my bag at my feet. "Sister what are you doing? And why are you dressed funny?" He said sitting beside me. Instead of answering him I asked him a question. "Asher do you ever think about leaving the city?" When I asked he looked away from me but I still seen the every little nod he gave. "Would you leave right now? If you could?" again he nodded. "Then go pack." When I said that he turned to look at me as if I had three heads. "We can't leave one of F.E.A.R's men would see us and lock us up for, forever. Besides were would we go? All that's out there is desert we would die in a mater of days." He said in a wispier as if F.E.A.R himself was in the other room. He said it so softly I almost didn't hear him. "Please Ash just go pack. We don't have time to worry about that stuff right I know a way out of the city just please pack." "Why what's going on is this about you one of F.E.A.R's men coming to get you? What did he say that's making you want our leave our home." "He-... He wants me to kill-... someone" "Who?" "Why dose it matter Asher? Just please just pack if you want to leave pack now okay? I already have my clothes and food and water for the both of us but you need to pack now before its to late and night falls then we really wont be leaving." "What about mom?" "Don't worry about that. I have everything already taken care of ok?" "Okay..." He said getting up and walking to his room. Five minutes later he had every thing packed and was ready to go. We both walked out of the house and started walking the way to school when we was almost there I grabbed Asher hand and turned down an alley between the school and the library. "Sister this is a dead end." "I know." When we got to the very end I bent down to the manhole and pulled the lid off of it. "Now its not a dead end." I said giggling softly. Asher smiled a toothy grin and started to climb down into the manhole. Me going right in behind him and closing the hole behind me.

After hours of walking threw stinking tunnels we finely came out into the desert. We knew there was no turning back now but at lest we had the cool night to walk in instead off the blustering heat of the sun. When we walked out of the tunnel I looked back at the place I ones felt safe and happy in at a place that I ones called my home. "Ready?" I asked Asher "One minute" he said digging threw his backpack to pull out his stuffed pet a koala I think is what it was called if we had any. "Now I'm ready" he said smiling. For someone so young he seemed to be happy with having to walk in the desert till we found a new home. "Lets go." I said smiling back even though I was scared because I know that tomorrow F.E.A.R's men will be coming to my house but wont fined me there. 'Please who ever is up there please don't let them every fine me or Asher.' I thought walking to who knows where....
