"AGH!" I screamed as hot coffee poured all down my thin hoodie- soaking me. I yanked my hoodie off to expose my short sleeved and bruised with cuts. I immediately ran into the bathroom because everyone was staring at my bruised arms. I felt the salty tears start to stream down my face.
"Alex? Alex? Come on, please." I hear a familiar voice say. James! No! I can't let him know....

"Who are you kidding? He's already heard." said a voice in my head. Oh, shut up! Don't you think I know that! "You didn't act like it......." Well, I did! Leave me alone!

"Alex! Please, come out!" I was ripped from the annoying voice in my head by James, again. The next voice was the principals.

"Come out, sweetie. We can help you get away from you mom." said Mrs. Patterson's sweet light voice. Okay, you can do this.... I unlocked the bathroom door and stepped out.

I was hugged tightly by James and I heard him saying, "She won't touch you again... Never again."

I was pulled out of the bathroom to find all eyes on me and I just looked down, studying the floor. As I walked in the principals office I saw my mom along with the police.

"Miss, please, tell us what happened."
