Smoked Covered Room

Never Give In

The flashing lights blinded my eyes as I walked through the crowded room, you could see the smoke floating in the air. My so called best friend left me at the front door once we arrived at the party. My dark blue eyes glanced around, watering slightly as the smoke flew into them.
A reason, a victim
A shining beacon in the sky
You yearn for what's missing
The Power hidden in the night

The melody of the music brought my attention to the speakers and soon towards where the DJ was seeing him nod to the music.

"Where are you Alice." I muttered looking around again seeing multiple bodies dancing around. I looked everywhere for a hot pink bow that Alice was wearing in her hair trying to locate her but nothing could be seen as the smoke and flashing lights blocked the view of everything. Giving up I make my way towards the kitchen and grab an unopened water bottle unscrewing the top I take a sip of the cool water.
An Angel, a Demon
The parts you play on lonesome nights
The damage inflicted
The pain and lust they leave behind

My eyes glance around the kitchen in search of Alice yet again, but my eyes catch those of a bright blue eyed boy, on the other side of the kitchen. He was starring at me with a small smile on his face. He looked heavenly with his long styled hair, black skinny jeans, black jacket with a black shirt. I looked down at my ratty converse and ripped skinny jeans.
Never Give In, Never back down,
Never Give In

A loud giggle that came from the kitchen doorway brought my attention there seeing Alice stumbling into the kitchen. Her wild green eyes and messed up black hair stood out the most when I saw her.

"Alice." I said once she stopped in front of me with a weird grin on her face.

"Hey Elle." she giggled cracking a cheshire cat grin.

"Your high, and drunk already." I said after smelling her and then watching as she almost fell back on her ass.

"No no no no I am neither of those two." she said shaking her head quickly before she almost tilted back I grabbed her arm quickly.

"Yeah right Alice." I said glaring at her. She just started laughing at me for no reason.
We're soldiers in season,
We can but change before we die,
The tales of their beatings,
To fear what lies beneath our lies

I sat her down against the wall and shove my water bottle in her hands.

"Drink this." I said sighing as she giggled at me.

"Yes mommy." she laughed out.

"You need a hand with her." someone spoke behind me. I turned around seeing the boy that was across the room.

"Um not really, I got it, but thanks." I said

"Ohhhh Ellie Bubelly, your being mean." spoke Alice from the ground. I turned and looked down at her.

"Alice be quiet." I said rolling my eyes as she zipped her mouth and threw away the make believe key with her wild green eyes shaking with laughter.

A chuckle brought my attention back towards the boy.

"I'm Andy." he said holding out his hand.

"Elle." I said shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you Elle." he said grinning at me.

"Likewise." I said before rubbing my hoodie sleeve against my eyes as the smoke touched them.

"What's wrong." he asked.

"It's nothing it's just this smoke." I said giving him a smile.

He grinned. "Yeah it's a little smokey in here." he said nodding.
Never Give In, Never back down,
Never Give In, Never back down,
When your life feels lost,
(fight against all odd)
Never Give In, (never back down)

During that moment, everything went silent and dark. Shrieks of the girls and some yells from guys could be heard through out the house. I sighed before reaching down to make sure Alice was okay only to trip and fall.

"Elle? Are you okay." Andy asked helping me up slowly once he found my arm through the darkness.

"Yeah." I coughed

"You sure." he asked as I glanced up at him. Someone must of found candles and lit them in the kitchen as my breath caught in my throat when I saw his bright blue eyes.

"Yeah I'm sure." I whispered. He nodded before glancing down at me and helping me stand up. I noticed how short I was compared to him when he straightened up.

"That's good it would be bad if you broke something." he joked. I laughed.

A giggle broke our gaze and we both looked down at a drowsy Alice her eyes had the haze of sleep.

"I should get her home." I said looking back at Andy who gave me a sad smile.

"Yeah you should she might not be comfortable once she wakes up leaning up against a wall." he said

I laughed before reaching down and grabbing her arms and heaving her up to her feet, Andy gently grabbed her other arm and tucked it under his arm and over his forearm were her arm was looped through. I looped her other through mine and we helped her out of the smoke covered room out into the cool night and towards my car. Once I made sure she was buckled into the seat I turned to find Andy standing behind me. I smiled at him.

"Thanks for helping me." I said softly. He grinned and soon I felt smooth lips against my own.
Never give in, never back down,
never give in, never back down,
when your life feels lost
(fight against all odds)
never give in, (never back down.)

I had dumped Alice at her apartment and was heading to mine when I thought back to after the kiss.

Andy leaned back away from me I felt his hand grabbing mine gently and bringing it to his lips.

"Sorry for the stolen kiss." he mumbled from my hand never breaking eye contact from me.

"It's fine." I said.

"I just can't back down from such a pretty girl." he said grinning at me.

I glanced over at the passenger seat where a crumbled piece of paper laid on my bag.

"Nice meeting you in the smoke covered room. ~ Andy Sixx" along with his number. I let loose a silly grin.

"It must of been the smoke in the room."
