Dani POV
Just as we were about to join the group Destiny pulled me to the side and said, “Remember..”
I laughed and interrupted her, “.. I call dibs on Ashley if he is the slightest bit interested in me,” I finished, in an exact imitation of her voice. Des stuck her tongue out and me and I laughed. “If you are going to stick it out, you might as well put it to good use. And don’t worry, I am not going to take him, even if he is interested in me. If, for some strange reason, he isn’t interested in you, I won’t even try with him. I am here to become friends with the guys and do my job,” I said, saying the last part more to convince myself than anything else.
“Yeah, but that is only because Andy is taken. The second he is free, you’d be on him like a stallion during mating season,” Des said with a chuckle, “and ew.. only with Ashley, never with you!”
“I’m not a guy and Andy isn’t a female… and well, neither of us are horses,” I said, laughing.
“Well that wasn’t meant to be taken literally, Dani, and you know it,” Des said with a laugh.
“I know,” I said as I laughed, walking with her back to our stuff. She laughed with me as we walked up to the guys and waved hello, not trusting our voices just yet.
“Hi, you must be Danielle and Destiny,” Ashley said, walking up to us with a smirk on his face.
“Yes, I’m Danielle, but I go by Dani. I’ll take care of our bags, Des,” I said, taking her bags and walking away.
“Dani,” I heard her hiss quietly as I walked away with a smirk.
“Here, let me help you with those,” I heard a deep voice say just as I ran into someone’s chest.
“Oh, sorry!” I said, taking a step back and looking up to see how I had run into.
“It is okay,” Andy said with a smile as he took my bags and led me onto the bus.
“There are only two bunks left so I hope these are okay for the two of you, Dani was it..” Andy said with a smile as he set my bags on the middle bunk.
“Yeah and these are fine,” I replied, setting Des’s bags down in the lower bunk.
“ANDREW!!” I heard a girl yell as she walked onto the bus.
“I’m back by the bunk helping the last of the crew find their bunks and get settled, Juliet,” Andy said, walking towards the front of the bus.
“ANDYBOO!!” Juliet said excitedly, running over to him and wrapping herself around him. “Who is this,” she asked, the slightest hint of a sneer in her voice as she looked over at me.
“I’m Danielle and I will be part of the crew for your boyfriend’s band this tour. Are you joining us for the tour as well,” I replied hopefully with a genuine smile, not catching the sneer in her voice.
“Yes I will be. After all they need me to sing my part in the songs,” she replied with a smile. “Andyboo, can you carry my bags to our room. Actually… she is a crew member, let her do it so you can hang out with me,” she said, looking back at Andy and gesturing my way.
“I got it,” I replied, walking off the bus. “Fuck,” I groaned as I saw how many bags she had. This was going to take me all afternoon.
“I’ll take the two big bags,” Andy said as he came up behind me and grabbed them.
“I’ve got it. Juliet looked like she missed you,” I replied, walking over to him.
“We just spent the night together. Plus this will take you forever if you do it by yourself. Trust me, I know,” he replied as he walked past me and back onto the bus. I shrugged and grabbed the rset of the bags before carrying them onto the bus and back to his room. I walked back out of the bus to go say hello to the rest of the guys, when I was pulled to the side.
“Stay off my man, you got it,” Juliet said, looking down at me.
“He is yours, I am not trying to date anyone right now,” I replied, baffled.
“Okay! Thanks for your time!” Juliet said with a smile, walking away and going to Andy. I stood there and watched the group, trying to figure out what just happened.
