Part Seven. Rebel Love Song
You wake up before everyone else, no surprise there, and go try out the shower. You notice that someone has left you a small pile of clothing on the side. There was a note on top reading
'Don't have to wear the undies if you don't wanna' with a winky face. It's not hard to figure out who wrote the note then. Surprisingly, he didn't pick the sluttiest clothes in the world. A Bullet For My Valentine 'Fever' tour shirt, some denim short shorts, agreeably more slutty but it's hot out so you don't mind too much. There's also a bra and some underwear there, you don't even want to guess how they got the sizes. You take a shower, letting the hot water stream down your back and over your breasts is the most wonderful feeling. You go ahead and wash your hair as well, when wet it looks a dark browny auburn colour, plastered to your face with water. Once clean you step out the shower, dress, and do your make up with the small selection of beauty products you'd been previously given, borrowing someones Linx deodorant. You tie your hair in a damp high ponytail and you're ready. There still doesn't seem to be any signs of life from the back end of the bus so you step outside for some air.
"Good morning"
You jump, slamming the door and almost falling off the last step.
Andy's leaned against the bus, wearing a white vest and black ripped jeans, smoking and looking so gorgeously casual.
"You scared the shit out of me!"
"Sorry.. And not just for scaring you. Last night was uncalled for. I stepped out of line."
You run up and embrace him, he's quick to flick the fag end away and return the favour, wrapping his arms around you in a tight grip.You don't need to say anything. There's nothing to say. However unwilling to admit it you are, this is the man you've been fan girdling over since you were 15 years old. He's one hundred times better in the flesh.
About an hour later you're sat on the sofa with Jinxx, Cc and Ashley eating toast and drinking flat cola Ash'd discovered in the mini fridge. You're discussing yesterday's events whilst Andy and Jake weren't around.
"Why did Jake hit the roof like that?" You ask.
"Are you kidding me?" Ash coughs. "They're like two bulls during mating season."
You choke on your toast, Cc thumps you on the back as you splutter. "Ta"
"They're competing over you." Jinxx explains .
" It's kinda cool to see Andy getting back in the game a lil' bit though. Not like this with Jake, but he really fell hard for you after seeing you battered and bruised comatose."
You're lost for words at this point. You just look between the three of them.
" Andy cares too much, he gets himself hurt. Jake cares in a complete other way. We can't quite work out where and why he crossed the friend zone line with Andy." Your face must be a picture because poor Ash stops mid sentence with an apology. You sit there dazed, having never been first choose, never-mind being fought over, you aren't sure what to say.
" You just gotta pick the right guy ducklin'" Cc states, whilst Ashley begins clearing up the plates.
You reach and pull the clothing note out of your back pocket and stick it to Ashley's can. Jinxx's curiosity pulls him forward to have a look, as you knew he would. He throws the half empty can at the back of Ash's head.
"Really man?!"
We're all laughing, even the sheepish Ashley and we begin to goof around as normal again. Balance seems to be restored-ish.. For now anyways
