With A Studded Star And Bunny Ink

A Weeping Child

The playground was almost empty as most other kids had been picked up, yet once again one was left in the middle waiting alone. She wept silently, her black hair sticking to her face as bitter tears splashed onto the ground. Finally a young blonde women arrived, one who looked more like a playboy model then a mother. She was late again, she never meant to be, but somehow she just struggled to be on time, keeping up with one life was challenging for her, so looking after two was near impossible at points. Many people believed that she hated and neglected her child, but it simply wasn’t true, she loved the little girl to the moon and back, but that had become the problem. In her heart she knew the best thing to do was t let the child go, to detach herself so that she'd have a real chance at life, but she just loved her daughter too dearly to leave her.

Upon seeing the child weeping the mother ran over, desperate to comfort the poor thing.
“Hey what’s the matter baby? Look mummy here’s everything’s okay, why are you crying?” Her voice was soft as she tried her best to comfort the girl, but she just wasn’t very good a dealing with emotions, for the sake of her daughter though, she tried.
“I hate my name” The poor girl whispered between sobs
“Hate your name? Why? I think it’s a very good name”
“No it’s not!” the stubborn child protested.
“It’s a stupid name. Everyone keeps telling me it’s not a real name, it’s a silly name and I hate it.” The mother sighed, knowing this isn’t the first time she’d have trouble with the other kids. The child just couldn’t seem to fit in with others, much like her mother and father she had a rebellious streak and fighting attitude that seemed to alienate her from her peers even as a little girl.
“Well you’re name isn’t silly, it’s a beautiful name, and it can’t be fake because you have it! So it must be real!” Wiping away the tears the mother smiled at the girl softly as she could under her layers of makeup.
“Anyway your name is very special. I choose it because it reminded me of your father, just like you do.” Of course this cheered the girl up; after all she had always been fascinated by her father, ever since her mother showed him to her. She may not have known her dad, but she still had a lot of love in her heart for him.
“Mummy, if I’m like daddy, then how come he doesn’t know me?” The woman paused, this wasn’t the first time she’d asked this question, and she always tried to avoid it.
“I’m sure he will one day sweetheart. Now how about we quickly head home, after all I found a little gift you might like.”
Home for the girl was a mess, being that the mother could barely look after them, but she tried and the girl knew it so she never complained.

She wasn’t the only little girl though to be living in stressful home though. So was another little girl who lived many miles away. She too also wanted to now “why doesn’t daddy know me?”

What makes these girls so different is what happened afterwards. The first girl lost that memory, along with all her others, it was lost to the sound of tires screeching, her mother screaming and emergency ambulances beeping, until only one memory remained. One memory and a gift.

The other girl never forgot, she held onto her memory and dreams with all her life, until it would eventually drive to her own self destruction.

Who would’ve thought these two girls would meet?

Become friends?

Form a band?

And who would’ve thought both girls would meet their fathers, on one life changing tour?
