Chapter 3

Addison walked into her house and threw her bad on the floor.
"Mom i'm home!" She yelled and went to walk upstairs to her room, but she felt someone grab her arm. It was her dad.
"Can we talk?" He asked. Addison nodded slowly, coming back down the total of 2 stairs she got up before her dad caught her. He lead he into the kitchen and lead her to the table, where her little brother, Tristan who was 9, was sitting. Addison sat next to him. Their mother was sitting across from them.
"Guys we have something to tell you" Their mother said. Oh god please don't be pregnant again, please please please don't be pregnant Addison begged in her mind. The last thing she needed was another little kid running around here.
"We are moving" They finished
"What!?" Addison stood up, her chair falling behind her. She didn't care though. "Why? We can't leave!"
"Its already decided. The house is being sold and we already found a new one in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a lot of land around" Her dad said.
"No! What about school? What about Andy, and Wyatt and Rhylan? We can't just leave!" Addison yelled
"You would be transferring to the high school there. And you'll make new friends, it will be fine" Her mom reassured
"Then i'm not going! I'm staying here!" Addison insisted
"No you aren't. You are our child and you are coming with us" Her mom replied. Tristan remained silent.
"What if i don't want to come?" Addison asked
"That isn't an option, you are coming and that's final!" Her dad said sternly. Addison felt tears stinging her eyes, and she spun and ran out of the room, out the front door, making sure to slam it on the way out.
"Addison! ADDISON!" She heard her father yelling. She didn't care, she kept running. The tears were streaming down her face. She turned off the sidewalk and into the woods, running deeper and deeper into them. She finally couldn't run anymore, her sides hurt so bad, she coughed, gasping for air. Letting the tears flow she put her hands up to her eyes and sat on the ground against a tree. She cried until there weren't any more tears, and she was gasping, not able to breathe. She let her eyelids come down, and felt herself sinking into sleep.

Andy was sitting in his room listening to music on his phone, when suddenly the music stopped and a call screen came up. He didn't recognize the number. He pulled out his headphones and tapped 'answer'
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Andy?"
"Yes... who's this?"
"This is Addison's mother. I'm calling to see if you heard from her at all?" There was a lot of worry in her voice.
Andy's heart stopped, and felt a wave of panic wash over him
"No, what happened!?" He asked
"We told her some news, and she got upset and ran out. We don't know where she went, and its been 2 hours. We are very worried and its getting dark"
"What did you tell her?"
"That doesn't matter right now. Can you call her, she wont answer her phone when we call."
"Of course"
"Thank you so much, call us back if you hear anything from her"
"I will" Andy hung up his phone, immediately calling Addison's phone. It rang 4 times before Andy heard a soft answer.
"Hello..."
"Ad! Where are you your parents are worried sick, so am i? What happened?!" He asked
"i'm not telling you where i am"
"why not"
"Because if i go back to my house, they are going to take me with them"
"What do you mean, you aren't going anywhere, right?"
"They are moving, to Pennsylvania"
"Oh my god Ad, i'm sorry. But i need to know where you are, ill come get you. We can worry about everything else later"
"Fine. I'm in the woods. I followed the path that starts next to that old house we spent the night in in 8th grade."
"Okay, i'm coming to get you, don't move"
"okay"
He hung up his phone, and grabbed his keys and ran down the stairs and out the door, getting in the Impala and going as fast as the speed limit allowed to get to the path. When he got there, he stopped the car, and shut it off, and ran into the woods, following the path, calling out Addison's name.
