I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

"Jake! Hurry up! We have to be at the airport by ten!" I shouted from the living room.

"I'm coming! Just wait a minute!" He yelled back. I huffed and started walking out to the car, dragging my suitcase behind me. I made it to the car and Jake was finally out the door and rushing over to me. He opened the trunk of the car and lifted my suitcase and his into it.

"Jake.. you didn't have to do that." I said.

"Yes I did. One, because I want to help my beautiful wife, and second, because I don't want you lifting things when you're pregnant." He said as he kissed my lips. I gave him a small smile before getting into the passenger side of the car. Jake went back inside to get his keys and to make sure all the electronics and lights were off before coming back out. He also made sure the doors were closed and locked. He got in the car and started it up, pulling out of the driveway. The ride to the airport took about an hour, maybe two. We met up with Jinxx and Sammi so one of them could take our car back for us. Jake handed Jinxx the keys after we had gotten our things out, and we said goodbye. We walked inside, hand in hand. We reached the front desk and the woman behind us greeted us with a warm smile.

"Welcome to Classic Vacations Airlines. How may I help you today?" She asked.

"We have reserved tickets for the flight to Hawaii today at ten." Jake said.

"Can I have your name and ID please? Same for you, miss." She said.

"I'm Jake Pitts." He said as he handed her his ID. She nodded and handed him his card back.

"I'm Claudia Pitts." I said as I handed her my ID as well.

"Maiden name please?" She asked.

"Claudia Alderman." I said. She nodded once more and gave me my card back as she typed into her computer for a minute.

"Alright. Jacob Pitts and Claudia Alderman. Second class tickets for a honeymoon trip to Hawaii today at ten am. Correct?" She asked.

"Absolutely." Jake said. She smiled and printed our tickets out, then she handed them to us.

"Alright! You guys are set! Head over to Gate Two, and have a wonderful trip." She said. We thanked her and walked away into the direction she told us to go. I checked the time, seeing we had an hour before our flight left. We took a seat.



"Do you want anything to eat or drink? There's a McDonald's over there." Jake said.

"I'd like a Pepsi." I said. Jake nodded and kissed my cheek before getting up and walking away.

"You guys are cute together." A voice said behind me. I turned around and saw a woman with blonde hair and sweats on.

"Oh thanks." I said with a smile.

"Where are you guys headed?" She asked as she sat down next to me.

"We're going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. What about you?" I asked.

"I'm going to Hawaii also! I was born there. I moved to California at fourteen. It was difficult for me after that." She said. I nodded. She looked somewhat familiar.

"Excuse me for this... but you look really familiar." I said.

"It's that so? Maybe we went to the same school?" She asked.

"Maybe.. what high school did you go to?" I asked.

"Jackson high." She said.

"I went there also! My name's Claudia.. if that helps." I said.

"I remember a Claudia. Didn't you... you were the girl who got into a car crash with that guy.. Marco!" She said. I nodded, not wanting to talk about guy who had almost broken Jake and I up forever.. but I guess it was partly my fault. Okay .. all of it was my fault.

"Hey babe! Here's your drink!" Jake said as he came back. He handed it to me and I took it gratefully. Jake kissed my cheek and sat down.

"Who's this?" he asked.

"I'm Desiree. I went to school with Claudia!" She explained.

"Nice to meet you Desiree. I'm Jake."

"It's nice to meet you too, Jake." Desiree said. Jake placed a hand on my stomach and kissed my cheek, not removing his hand.

"What island are you guys going to?" Desiree asked.

"Honolulu." I said.

"Sweet. So am I!" She said.

"Are you going to go surfing?" She asked.

"No.. I wish I could though.. But I don't want to get hurt." I said.

"Oh you won't! It's easy to not get hurt."She said.

"And also, I'm pregnant.. so.." I said.

"Awesome!! How far along are you?"

"Only a couple days." I said. She nodded.

"Flight one to Hawaii now boarding." A voice said over a loudspeaker. Jake and I stood up and I rolled my suitcase behind me to the gate, having to throw the rest of my Pepsi away. Jake and I made it to the metal detector with Desiree behind us. I took my shoes off and placed them in the basket with my jacket, since it had metal on it. I walked through and retrieved my things, waiting for Jake. We walked through the tunnel and onto the plane and got directed to our seats. Jake lifted my suitcase into the cubby above our seats, then did the same with his. I sat down and put my seatbelt on. This was going to be a long plane trip.
