I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

Jake and I decided to go tick Ashley's instead of our apartment. Once we got there, we walked inside without knocking, which probably was never a good idea, but we didn't fucking care.

"Ash!? CC!?" Jake yelled.

"Kitchen!" They both yelled. We walked in and greeted them with hugs.

"It's good to see you after one day. How are you?" Ashley asked me.

"I'm good... thanks for helping Mr get my dad out of prison... by the way. It means a lot to me." I said as I pushed my bangs out from in front of my face.

"Woah woah woah woah... hold up there, Claudia. Let me see." CC said. I shot him a confused look.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. Jake shifted from foot to foot.

"Your ring.. let me see it." He said.

"Oh. Okay." I said as I glanced at Jake. He has his hands behind his back. After a minute of looking at it, CC looked at me, then Jake.

"Is this... an engagement ring? Jake did you propose?" CC asked. Ashley turned his full attention and his eyes widened at my hand.

"Yeah.. I did." He said, "we're engaged."

"No. No no no no no. I refuse."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"I don't want you to marry him. I didn't want you guys dating in the first place, what makes you think I want you guys to live together, have sex, and get married?" CC asked.

"So it's okay for you to do it, but not me?" I snapped.

"That's different."

"No it certainly is not! I may be your cousin, but that doesn't automatically mean you can tell me who I can and can't marry!" I said.

"Oh, but I can."

"No you can't!"

"And why is that?"

"I already asked her father if I could marry her... and he said yes." Jake said.

"Are you kidding me!?"

"No. Now if you excuse me, we've got wedding plans to fulfill." I said.

"Jesus Christ CC! Be happy for her!" Ashley said.

"Fine.... I'm sorry Claudia... it's just.. I never wanted you to fall in love with any of the guys in the first place."

"Well.. I did. And I couldn't ask for anyone better. CC, this is by far the best decision I've ever made... and frankly... I love it."

"If you're happy... I should be happy as well. I'm sorry." CC said softly.

"It's alright."

"We're gonna head out. See you guys later." Jake said. We turned to leave, but CC stopped us.

"Jake.. can you be my best man?"

"I'd love to." Jake said. Then Ashley asked a question.

"Claudia.. I'd love it if you were a bridesmaid... even though there is no bride." Ashley said.

"Of course." I said. I hugged them both and then Jake and I left. He kissed my cheek and got in the car.

Two Weeks Later~~

"Jake... can we take a break? I'm tired." I said.

"Sure. We can continue this tomorrow." Jake said as he closed the wedding cake book his mother lent us. None of the other guys have found out we're engaged... not even Sammi. I'm surprised they haven't noticed yet.

"Thanks." I said as I pecked his cheek.

"You're welcome. I think I'm.gonna stay up a little later. I love you, see you tomorrow." Jake said.

"I love you too." I said. Jake kissed my lips and I headed off to bed.

I woke up all sweaty. I rolled out of Jake's arms and looked at the clock. It was midnight and I knew I wasn't going to fall back asleep. I stood up and walked down the hall and into the living room. I picked up my phone and dialed Sammi's number. Surprisingly, she picked up.

"Hey Claudia. What's up?" She asked.

"Can't sleep. Mind if I come over?"

"No not at all! Jinxx and I are just doing some wedding plans." She said. Jeez, everyone was planning for a wedding it seemed like. Everyone except Andy. I felt bad for him.

"Alright. I'll see you guys in a bit."

"Alright.. and Andy's here too. He's helping." She said. I smiled.

"Okay. Bye."

"Buh bye."

I hung up and grabbed Jake's car keys, then I wrote him a note telling him where I was going, just in case he woke up our I wasn't back into later. I slipped on some shoes and a hoodie and I left, making sure the door was locked behind me.

I finally got to Sammi and Jinxx's house after about twenty minutes. I got out of the car and knocked on the door. Sammi answered and pulled me in for a hug, then dragged me inside, where Jinxx also gave me a hug. He pulled away l and looked at me weird, then he smiled and sat down. Andy saw me and waved, I just smiled in return. He hugged me as well and sat back down.

"What are you guys planning right now?" I asked.

"Flowers.." Sammi said.

"Oh." I said. Andy stood up and pulled me into the hallway with Jinxx following.

"Are you... uh..." Andy started.

"Am I what?" I asked.

"What he's meaning to ask is if you're pregnant or not... don't get offended.. but you seem... bigger than you were last week." Jinxx said. I scrunched my eyebrows up.

"I think I'd know if I'm pregnant or not."

"So, are you?"

"No." I lied. About a week ago, I found out that i actually was pregnant... but I didn't tell anyone, not even Jake.

"Alright." He said. We all walked back out to the living room where Sammi was looking at two different bouquets. I sat next to her with Jinxx on my right.

"Which one do you like better?" She asked me.

"Uh.. that one." I said as I pointed to a bouquet of red roses. Jinxx took my left hand with wide eyes.

"Is this what i think it is?" He asked.

"I don't know. What do you think it is?" I asked with a smile.

"An engagement ring." Jinxx said.

"You sir... are correct." I said.

"Congrats!" Sammi said.

"Thanks. I'll be right back."

"Where are you going?"

"Bathroom. I'll be quick." I said. I stood up and walked down the hall and into the bathroom.

"Great!" I said. I was on my period. Fantastic. I sighed and grabbed one of Sammi's pads, then I washed my hands and disposed of the garbage. I walked back out to the living room and Jinxx was looking at me with a concerned look.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked. He just shook his head and looked away.

"Fuck! Which centerpiece is better!?" Sammi asked with an exasperated sigh. Jinxx just took the book from her and gently closed it.

"We'll finish this tomorrow, alright? You look extremely tired." He said. Sammi just kissed his lips and and hugged me as well as Andy, then she went to bed.

"I guess I'll go." I said.

"Can I come with you?" Andy asked.

"You don't have your car?"

"No. Jinxx picked me up."

"Alright. let's go. bye Jinxx."

"Goodbye." He said. Andy followed me out the door and to Jake's car. I got in the driver's seat and started up the car.

"Are you sure you're not pregnant?" Andy asked about ten minutes later.

"I'm positive."

"How do you know?"

"I got my period tonight." I said with a sigh.

"Oh."

"And those store bought pregnancy tests aren't always accurate." I said quietly.

"That's true. Can you drop me off at my parent's house?"

"No problem. It's right around the corner... right?"

"Yep."

After I dropped Andy off, the ride was silent and I missed Jake. I let out a loud sigh as I pulled into the complex. Our neighbor's sixteen year old daughter was sitting on the steps leading up to our apartment. I quickly killed the ignition and then got out of the car. She looked up and she seemed to relax at seeing that it was only me.

"Hey, Hannah.. what are you doing out here?" I asked.

"I could ask you the same thing." She said with a sniffle. I sat down next to her and draped my arm over her shoulder.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"My boyfriend dumped me and my parents said I couldn't go to that concert." She said.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"Nah... it's okay. He was douchey anyway." She said.

"What concert did you want to go to?" I asked.

"The Of Mice & Men one that's tomorrow." She said.

"Oh. That sucks." I said.

"Yeah. I really wanted to watch them perform Second & Sebring." She said with a sigh. I hugged her, not really wanting to talk about my exes band.

"I should probably... get back up to Jake." I said.

"Okay. See you later."

"Bye Hannah." I said. I walked passed her and up the three flights of stairs. I unlocked the door to our apartment and i walked in. I closed and locked the door, then i set the keys on the counter. I crumpled up the note I wrote with a yawn, and then I headed back down the hall. I crawled back into bed next to Jake and minutes later, i drifted off.
