I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

Jake and I decided to go and have lunch, but that wasn't for about an hour. Jake left for the bathroom, so while he did that, Andy and I talked.

"So, we're going into the studio Monday.. recording the song, and maybe adding violin?" I asked.

"Correct. When do you want to perform it?"

"When's your next concert?"

"Friday."

"Sounds good." I said. Jake sat down next to me and pulled me close to him. I smirked to myself just thinking about the song.

An hour later, Jake and I were getting ready to leave. We stepped off the bus and it started raining.

"Fuck!" I yelled over the rain. We both ran back into the bus, already drenched. Why does it rain so much?

"Hey guys. That was fast." Andy joked.

"Yep. We should win the award for the fastest lunch ever!! That would just be fucking wonderful!" I seethed. The weather had to ruin our lunch.

"Woah, calm down Claudia." CC said. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Jake.

"Well, what do you want to do?" He asked. I slumped my shoulders and a tear ran down my cheek. Why was I crying?

"Oh Claudia!" Jake said with a slight chuckle.

"Lunch isn't ruined, and it certainly isn't your fault." He said. He pulled me into him and I wrapped my arms around his waist with a sniffle. I cried onto his shoulder while he tried to soothe me.

"You want something to drink?" Jake asked.

"No." I said. He kissed me and headed to the kitchen anyway. I on the other hand made my way to the bathroom. Once I was in there, I noticed I started my period. That's why I was crying. I did my business and walked back out, stopping halfway to put on a sweatshirt. I slumped down onto the couch next to Ashley just as the cramps started. I groaned and leaned down, putting my head in between my knees.

"You okay?" Ashley asked.

"No." I muttered. He rubbed my back, making slow circles. Jake exited the kitchen and crouched down in front of me.

"You okay, babe?" He asked. I looked up at him.

"No." I said.

"What's wrong?"

"Cramps." I said.

"Ohh. Alright."He said. He kissed my forehead and stood up.

"Jakey.."

"Yeah?"

"I love you." I said with a smile.

"I love you too." He said. He sat on the floor next to Jinxx who was trying to come up with violin parts for a song, not my song though. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my pocket. I unlocked it and read the text from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hey Claudia. I love you so much. Please come home to me. ~ Marco

Wait... Marco? I froze. Wasn't he dead?

*Flashback*
(Third person)

"Miss Alderman, I'm afraid he's dead. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." A doctor said. Claudia nodded and slowly stood up, planting a kiss on the boy's cheek. She exited the room and the doctors took over. They started to place a white sheet over him, but he started to seizure. They uncovered him and did everything in their willpower to stop the seizure. After about ten minutes the doctors got the boy back to normal and he was stable. He blinked a few times, taking in his surroundings.

"Mr. Gales, you're awake." The female doctor said.

"Yeah..." He said.

"Are we able to call anyone to let them know you're here?" she asked.

"Yeah. My mom." He said. He gave the doctor a number, and she called his mother. The boy was released from the hospital the next Friday, fully recovered from the accident, while the girl he had wanted to take to homecoming had started to move on, thinking he was dead. She was with her boyfriend, who lasted with her for a few years. After high school, the girl went on tour with her cousin and his band, both boys completely forgotten about. Marco, however couldn't move on from that night. it haunted him every night in his sleep, taunting him for years, until he met her ex, who gladly gave him her number.

Claudia's POV~~

No. Marco couldn't be alive. He died..

"Claudia... Claudia! Answer me!" Jake yelled. He was shaking my shoulder.

"No.. no! It's not possible!" I yelled. I stood up and ran to the other side of the small room, where I slid down the wall. I threw my phone, hitting Andy in the chest. I put my face in my hands and shook.

"No!" I wailed into my hands. I felt a hand on each wrist.

"Claudia! Answer me!" Jake yelled once more. He pulled my wrists apart, revealing my face. I looked up at him and shoved him away from me rather violently. Jake was looking at me, hell everyone was looking at me. I stood up and did the only thing I could think of: run. I bolted out the bus door into the rain. My feet carried me away from the bus. I couldn't do it. I could not stay there, knowing that Marco was alive. I had to see him. I ran and ran and ran. Tears fell from my eyes as I ran, but they were mixed in with the rain. I heard footsteps behind me, but I didn't look back. I just kept running. I saw a cab and I waved to the driver. He pulled over and I went to enter the cab, but I was tackled to the ground. I wailed out in pain and the person got off of me.

"Ashley!" I yelled. He helped me up and when he wasn't paying attention, I darted for the cab. I was successful as I closed the door behind me.

"Drive! Just drive!" I said desperately. The driver did as told and he sped off.
