I Gave It All

Claudia's POV~~

I woke up with a start, hitting my head on the bunk above me.

"Fuck!!" I hissed. Jake moved beside me, but didn't stir. I rubbed my head, squeezing my eyes shut to hopefully ease the pain. It subsided a bit, so I slid out of bed and walked to the kitchen where I had a small glass of water. I discarded the glass in the sink and sat on the couch, grabbing my phone from the table where I left it. I unlocked it and sat there, scrolling through Twitter and following people back. I felt the couch sink a little next to me, so I looked up into the face of CC.

"What are you doing?" He asked quietly.

"I'm on Twitter. I couldn't sleep after hitting my head on your bunk, so I got some water and sat here." I said back, just as quietly. I exited Twitter and opened up my notes, getting prepared to show CC something that I wanted to do.

"I see."

"CC, I want to write a song for Jake... but I have no clue how to do so. I'm not good with words like you and the others." I said.

"Well, we could get Andy and Ashley in on this and help you. Me as well." CC said.

"What about Jinxx?"

"No... not yet anyway." I said.

"Well, I'm tell Andy and Ashley tomorrow, and we can go brainstorm.. sound good?"

"Yeah. Thanks cuz." I said. CC gave me a one armed hug, then left for his bunk. I decided I was too lazy to head back to my bunk, so I just crashed on the couch the rest of the night.

Next Day~~

I woke up to light talking. I recognized the voice as CC's.

"Shut up." I groaned.

"Do you want help or not?" CC asked.

"I didn't know you were talking about it." I said as I sat up.

"Oh, well go get ready and we'll head to the restaurant across the street." Andy said.

After I got ready, I grabbed my phone and the four of us headed across the street. We sat outside at a table with an umbrella, and CC ordered us some drinks.

"So, do you have any lyrics written down?" Andy asked.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure if they're good or not." I said. I handed him my phone and he read my lyrics.

"They're good, but they're not great. I'll help you with them later." He said. I nodded and Andy handed my phone back.

"I think we're able to start on the guitar parts, and maybe the drums. You want it acoustic, right?" Andy asked.

"Indeed I do." I said. Did I forget to mention that Ashley had an acoustic guitar with him? Well he did. He grabbed it from under the table and took it out from its case. He took the pick out from the strings on the fret board and started playing a slow tune, which was amazing. The very few people around us looked over and started talking amongst themselves, whether they be criticizing or talking about how good he was, I don't know.

"Ashley, that's prefect..i think we'll do that." I said. He nodded and kept playing.

"Okay Claudia, lyrics. Let me see those." Andy said. I handed him my phone again and he read them over and over. CC did the same.

"Alright. Do you have a pencil and some paper with you?" Andy asked. I nodded and took it out.

"Write down what I say, alright? Then we can revise again, except you'll do it this time. Ready?"

"Yep. Hit me." I said. Andy adjusted my phone in his hand, then cleared his throat.

"How can I say that I love you?

I finished writing and looked up at Andy.

"How do you like it? I changed a bunch of words.." He said.

"Fuck, I know.. I love it Andy, but I just want to make a small change."

"And that would be?"

"In front of the 'I love you'll at the end, I'll put 'I fucking'." I said with a smile.

"So, the last verse will be 'I feel as if I can do anything with you, But when I'm without you, My whole world crumbles down. So baby, god damn, I fucking love you.'" Andy said.


"Yes." I said.

"That's great. Ashley, what do you think so far?" Andy asked.

"Sounds great, man."

"And you, CC?"

"I love it.."

"Alright. first things first, we have to finish the guitar parts. So Ashley, just strum the same thing, like Jake did in The Mortician's Daughter. Come up with something." Andy said. Ashley nodded and he started strumming random strings until he found something absolutely amazing.

"Keep that. That's fantastic." I said. Ashley wrote down the chords and put the guitar away.

"Second... CC. We need a slow drum beat." I said. Andy nodded. He concentrated, but couldn't do it without the guitar playing, so Ashley started playing it again. CC tapped out a beat on the table with his fingers, before yelling out that he got it. He tapped it out for us without making any mistakes.

"CC, that's great! Andy, would you care to sing with me?"

"I would love to." Andy said.

"Awesome!" I said.

"I'll call Jon, tell him the four of us need to get to the studio sometime in the next week, and we can start recording. If we need to add anything such as violin or piano, we'll call Jinxx, tell him to come over without Jake, all right?" Andy said. We all agreed, and we headed back to the bus. I was super excited for this song.
