Ten Miles Wide
Ana's P.O.V.
It was REALLY fucking early when I was awoken by my phone ringing.. but I was glad I answered.. my best friend Isabel had called after ten months of me not hearing a word from her. After the talk with her I had decided to go visit.. in England. But I wasn't going alone I had to take Jake and my boyfriend Ash with me.. at least I hoped they would go with me. I smiled at the idea, hopefully this would go great. I looked at the time and decided I'd go back to sleep for awhile and then call Ash and Jake to ask if they'd go. I tried to go to sleep but gave up and started to do chores and feed my dog Bear which I got as a gift from Ash on our one year anniversary as a couple. I played with Bear till it was 8 in the morning. I got up and dialed Ash's number.
"Hello?" Andy picked up.
"Hey Andy is Ash there?" I asked.
"Yeah, lemme go wake him up.." He said chuckling.
Knowing Andy he would most likely go and piss off Ash to wake him up. I heard them quarreling in the background before I finally heard Ash's voice.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hey" I said smiling.
"Whats up?" He asked.
"Not much..Oops I wasn't suppose to talk, pretend you didn't hear that..or this." Andy said.
"HANG UP THE PHONE!" Ash yelled and I pulled the phone away from my ear chuckling.
"Sorry about that." he said.
"It's okay, I was calling to tell you that you, Jake and I are going to the UK next week." I said.
"Uh why?" He asked. Shit maybe he wasn't going to go but I decided to explain why.
"I talked to Isabel today and she refuses to come here so we're going there." I said.
"And why again am I going?" He asked. I didn't know what to say and it kinda blurted out of my mouth.
"Because I said so, so start packing." I said completely feeling selfish and bossy.
"Fine.. Geeze woman... I'll talk to you later." he said, sighing.
"Kay, bye." I said hanging up. I smiled happy Ash said.. now I had to convince Jake on going. I decided I'd tell Jake in person so I went to my closet and got dressed. I got my car keys off the table along with my phone and closed up my apartment before heading off to Jake's apartment. I drove to his place in silence. I remembered how much I had hated him so much when he cheated on Isabel, but then remembered how torn he was. He hadn't gotten any better since Isabel left. Even the boys couldn't cheer him up. I got to his door and knocked. I started to question if it was a good decision coming. He opened up. He was in a bad shape, he looked like he hadn't slept or ate in days and it looked like he had been crying awhile ago.
"Jake! You look terrible!" I said worried.
"Gee, thanks." he sighed.
"I'm sorry but you do, can I come in?" I asked.
"Sure.." He said letting me in.
Jake's P.O.V.
I was in bed crying.. yeah I was a emotional wreck. I was staring at the ceiling when I heard Trixy barking. I got up and saw her at the door. I heard knocking and I opened up.
"Jake! You look terrible!" Ana said.
See Ana was this short kinda annoying yet caring girl Ash was going out with, she was also my ex's best friend.
"Gee. thanks." I sighed.
"I'm sorry, but can I come I in?" She asked looking at me. Okay, so as I said I was a wreck. I hadn't eaten or slept that much lately always thinking of Isabel my ex, sure it had been ten months since she left, but I couldn't forget her.
"Sure." I said moving aside letting her in.
"Dude, you HAVE to eat something, your bones are scary visible, I'm going to make you something and you're going to eat, kay?" She said.
"But.. I.." I tried protesting.
"No excuses, please?" she pleaded.
"Fine." I said. After she made me eat she told me about a trip to England to visit Isabel. My heart pounded faster hearing her name.
"So, yes?" She said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, next week right?" I asked.
"Yep, start packing and please take care of yourself." she said getting up and hugging me goodbye.
"Okay." I sighed, hugging back. She walked out and got into her car and left. In a week I'd see Isabel again..
