I looked down at my hands, and they were covered in crimson blood. I looked at Sarah, and she looked at me, and look of pure horror on her face. We heard screams coming up behind us and we ram quickly down the corridor, trying to get away from the screams. we turned at corner, and ran into Dan, who was panting, also covered in blood. "I don't know where Stephen is. He was right behind me, I don't know where he's gone." He panted, and I stiffened. "Where were you?"
"Down there, but there's someone down there, we go there we die." he said, and I sighed, letting tears slide. We heard screams closer to us, and girls running towards us. "Shit!" Sarah yelled, and we ran down the corridor, turning the corner and running into someone in a black hoodie, a gun in his hand. There were shots, and I screamed loudly...

"Sunset!" Someone yelled, and I woke with a start. I looked into a pair of blue eyes and the worried face that they belonged to. "Andy..." I said, tears streaming. "Hey shhh it's ok, I'm here." He said, rocking me. "Did I wake anyone else?"
"No, they all sleep like a rock. I was awake anyway." he said, and I nodded, continuing to cry into his chest. "Shhh, it's ok sparky, Sonics here." he whispered, and I giggled, wiping my eyes. "Come on, lets get you cleaned up." he said, picking me up, and carrying me to the bathroom, and placing me on the counter, shutting the door behind him. "Do you want to tell me what your dream was about?" He asked, and I sighed. "But it's not just a dream, it's more of a memory."
"Well then what happened that it taunts you." he asked, dabbing at my eyes gently with a tissue. "It's...complicated."
"We have time." He said, and I smiled at him.

"Well, it was a normal day, you know, lessons, laughing with friends, bullies the usual, nothing special. It was 5th period, nearing 6th, and we heard the fire door in the room lock. Our teacher went to see what was going on at the head office, and he didn't come back for half an hour. Some of the boys in our lesson went to go and have a look, and they didn't come back. After a while we decided to go to second lesson, and that's when it all kicked off. there was blood everywhere, and screaming down the corridor. We ran towards the screams to see two men, in black clothing and masks with guns, shooting everyone in sight. We didn't know what else to do, we just ran to the nearest exit. But they'd locked every single door and all the windows, and there was no way out. We kept running, seeing people, teachers, friends, everyone getting shot. it ended with my best friends getting killed, and me being all alone. I was so sick and so frightened that I just covered myself in blood and hid in a cupboard, to make it look like I was shot and dead. I waited until there was nothing, and soon police came. They found me, and took me away. I was the only one who survived. All my friends, my boyfriend, everyone died. They thought it would be best if me and my mom left the state, so that the killers wouldn't be able to find me if they tried." I said, tears streaming.

Andy gently wiped my eyes, and pulled me closer to him, wrapping his arms around me. "Shhh, shhh my sparky. Don't cry. you'll be okay, nothing will hurt you. I promise." He said, and I cried into his shoulder, making his tee-shirt sodden. After a while, I calmed down, and lifted my head off his shoulder. Andy smiled at me, and gently wiped away the stray tears from my cheeks. "You'll be okay sparky, I promise." he whispered into my hair, and I smiled. "I know, I just want to stop having bad dreams."
"You will soon, it's just post trauma. It'll fade." he said, and I sighed, looking around. "what time is it?"
"Half three in the morning."
"Oh." I said, knowing I'd have to go back to sleep, and that the dreams will come back. I smiled at Andy, and he smiled back. "Thank you Sonic." I said and he laughed, smiling at me. "No problem sparky. "He said, and I smiled, hopping off the counter, and following Andy out the room.

I sat on the sofa, and Andy sat beside me. "Taking it your not wanting to go back to sleep?" He whispered, and I nodded, staring into space. "Come here." He said, reaching out to me, and I crawled to him, and placing myself in his arms. He wrapped his arms around me, and I rested my head on his shoulder. "Come on sparky, shut your eyes and go to sleep. If you feel yourself slipping into the nightmare, then remember that it's not real, and you can create your dreams, and that your in my arms, and nothing can hurt you." He whispered, and I nodded, shutting my eyes, and slipping into a sleep.

I woke up, and looked around. I felt Andy's warmth shift slightly, and I looked up to see Andy, gently waking up, smiling at me. "Hello sparky." he said, and I smiled, looking at the clock. It was half ten in the morning, and I smiled seeing the others had gone. "There in the kitchen, wanna go in?" He asked, and I nodded, sitting up, and following him into the kitchen. The others all smiled at us as we walked in, and Sammi was grinning from ear to ear. "Morning love birds, pancakes?" CC asked, passing me a plate. Andy groaned, and sat down. "For the millionth time, we are not love birds."
"Actions speak louder than words Andrew." Ash said, and he winked at me, making me giggle. "Yeah were not love birds." I said, taking a bite of pancake. "Yeah well that's what we see." he said, and I punched his arm lightly. He pretended like I'd killed him, and then pretended to cry. "Oh little baby, I am so sorry." I said, in a baby voice, and Andy laughed. I looked over at him and smiled.
