We were inches away from each other, our eyes locked. Suddenly the front door behind us opened and our head snapped in that direction. My mom was stood there, arms folded, a look of thunder on her face. "Sunset....inside....now..." She snapped, and I got up, walking inside. "And you young man, better get home right now." She said, and Andy nodded, walking off quickly down the road. My mom shut the door and turned to me. "Sunset...."
"Mom I can explain we were-"
"what the hell were you thinking! I wake up hearing sounds go into your room and your not there!? I was worried sick, you could of been anywhere-"
"I was only outside."
"Yeah, only outside, I was close to calling the police until I pulled the curtain back and saw you and that kid together with you practically on his lap!" She yelled, and I sighed. "Mom I was not on his lap! he came to me to see if I was still having nightmares, unlike anyone else, he actually cares!" I snapped back.

"Why would he know? Have you been giving everyone your life story!?"
"No! Actually I was having a nightmare at the sleepover and he woke me up and held me as I cried! He actually cared and I don't see what's wrong! I'm safe, I wont go anywhere, and after he came all the way here I wasn't going to tell him to get lost."
"Yeah I could see that. Listen to me boys like that are only after one thing. They find the girls who have difficult pasts or who are new, and lure them in by being kind and everything, before fucking them and leaving them at the age of 16 and pregnant!" She said, and I stared. "Andy wouldn't do that."
"Oh yeah and how do you know? You've only known im for about a week!"
"He wouldn't, he cares!"
"How do you know?! All guys are the same!"
"Your only saying that because that's what dad did to you! Not everyone is the same as that dick head mom! How long will it take you to fucking understand that!" I yelled, running upstairs.

I sighed, and lay on my bed, letting a tear fall. I hated arguing with my mom, she was all I had, and I was all she had, and we needed to keep that together. I sighed, looking at the clock. It was half 4 in the morning, and I suddenly realised how long me and Andy had been out there. I sighed, and felt my eyelids go heavy, and I felt into a deep sleep.

I woke up, and walked downstairs, my bag on my shoulder. My mom was sat on the sofa, looking a the TV. "Morning mom." I said quietly, and she looked at me. "Hey, come over here." She said, patting the seat beside her. I walked over and sat down slowly, looking down into my lap. "Listen sweetie, about last night, I'm sorry. But I just need you to understand that your all I have, and I need to keep you safe, especially after what happened. I know that you know what happened with me and your dad, but it made me paranoid that the same would happen to you. I don't trust boys, but if that boy can show me different, then I'll trust him." She said, and I looked at her. "I'm sorry to mom. I shouldn't of brought it up."
"No you should of because it slapped some sense into me. I'm a little too protective sometimes." She said, and I smiled. She reached out and hugged me, and I smiled. "Well mom I better go, i'll be late."
"Ok sweetie, see you later." She said, and I kissed her cheek lightly before walking out the house.

Me and Sammi walked up to the others, and I smiled as Ella began on about how her mom caught her leaning out the window to try and get to a party. I looked at Andy, and he couldn't make eye contact with me. I sighed as the bell rung, and we walked to science. I sat down, and Sammi nudged me slightly. "Has something gone on with you and Andy? He hasn't looked or spoke to you."
"I don't know. Well he came to my house last night, and my mom caught me talking to im o the front lawn."
"Ooops, what were you doing?"
"Nothing Sammi why?"
"Well you could of been...."
"Could of been what?"
"You know...." She said, an d I giggled. "No Sammi, your disgusting." I said, laughing. "What? You could of been? I mean were 16 the hormones have to get out some way or another." She said, and the boys looked at us as we giggled. "What's tickled your funny bone? " Jinxx said, and I laughed, putting my head on the desk.

"Hormones." Sammi said and I continued to laugh, making her giggle. "Right this is another example that I don't know anything about the female spices." Ashley said, and I giggled, calming down. The bell went and we walked to the next lesson, the lesson I have alone with Andy. I sat down, and he looked down into his lap. I sighed, and opened my book as the teacher told us to just study for the text the next day. "I'm sorry about yesterday." Andy said, not looking up. "Why are you saying sorry?"
"I got you into trouble with your mom."
"No you didn't. We had an argument but were fine now. But thank you."
"For what?"
"For coming to check on me." I said, and he smiled. "No problem Sparky, any time." He said, and I smiled at him, looking into the blue eyes I had stared into the night before.
