When Jinxx finished reading the letter he looked at me with this huge goofy grin on his face. As soon as he did that I couldn't hold it anymore. I started jumping up and down squealing in excitement. People soon gathered in the doorway to figure out what had me making so much noise. Jinxx handed the letter to Sammi and told her to read it out loud. She did and when she finished she looked at me with wide eyes and then grabbed me in a hug and started squealing with me.

We were pulled to an abrupt stop when there was a loud crash and a door slamming. The guys who had a clear view of the living room winced and then looked at me with almost fearful expressions. I frowned. What was going on? Jake walked into the kitchen and sighed before looking at me. "That was Ashley. He umm heard what the letter said and then he kind of got really angry. He flipped the coffee table and then just walked out the door." He said lowly.

My eyes narrowed. What was his problem? I huffed angrily and then dislodged myself from Sammi's arms. I grabbed my keys and have Sammi and Jinxx a look that they knew well. It meant Ashley and I were going to be gone for awhile while we fought this out. The guys that had been around a lot looked at my expression and it seemed like a collective 'oh shit' went through them. The ones who were fairly new to the family looked at me with confusion only to be pulled away by Ronnie Andy and Jinxx to have it explained to them.

I was almost out the door when I heard one if the new hang arounds muttering to the girl next to her. She was one of the tall blonde big no ones bimbos that Ashley would have gone after before he met me. Now he wouldn't give her the time of day. She was whispering to her friend thinking I couldn't hear them. "I hope he breaks up with the little whore. He wouldn't even fucking look at me last night. She's not even fucking pretty. She's probably paying him to date her or something. She better step away from him soon. That man will be mine. Or I will have to break her face." She muttered with a small laugh. I paused on my way out the door and it seemed like everybody froze as I turned around slowly. I walked over to the girl. In her stilettos she was a good two heads taller than me. I stood right up in front of her and flashed a sadistic smile before I reached up and grabbed a fistful of her hair. She shrieked and tried to peal away from me but before she could I slammed her face into the wall three times.

I let her go and she fell to the ground holding her bleeding broken face. She was crying now and Sammi was laughing while Jinxx held a hand over his face in exasperation. It was common knowledge around here that Ashley and I were fiercely protective f our relationship. I leaned down close to her ear. "Ashley is mine bitch. Ill fucking kill you if you try anything." I growled before resuming my walk out the door.

When I got outside Ashley was pacing the lawn shirtless. I narrowed my eyes. "Car. Now." I growled. We climbed into my car and I took off driving until I found a back road that led do a deserted clearing. We climbed out of the car and walked into the clearing. I rounded on him. "What the fuck is your problem?" I growled.

"Why the hell wouldn't you tell me about this?" He asked angrily.

"Tell you about what?"

"About the symphony! Damn Tora! I'm your fucking mate. I thought that meant more to you! I never thought you would do this. So what was the plan huh? Go to New York without telling me? Leave me here alone? Do you not want me around anymore?" He asked angrily.

I took a step back. Shocked. Never. In any of our fights. Had he accused me of not caring for him. Of not wanting to be his mate. This time he had gone to far. I swallowed the tears that tried to crawl up my throat and did something I hadn't needed to do in a long time. I slipped into my shell. I became the cold careless ice bitch everybody feared.

"I didn't audition. They found my work and asked me to join them not the other way around. I thought you would be happy for me. I wouldn't have left without talking to you first. But now you've gone to far. How dare you accuse me of not caring for you? How dare you think that our mating means nothing to me. Well guess what. If you want the cold uncaring bitch you accuse me of being you have her." I told him in a deadly calm icy voice.

His eyes widened and he went to say something but I walked past him and out to my car. I climbed in and took off watching his figure in the middle of the road disappear. I reached the house and walked in not looking at anyone. Sammi got up and moved to come talk to me until she saw my face. She paused and cursed.

I moved past her and walked up to my old bedroom and closed and locked the door. I lay on my bed and listen to Sammi talking downstairs. Tino from OM&M was talking. "Umm what's wrong with her? I've never seen her like that before." He asked. The OM&M crew hadn't been hanging out with us that long yet and they weren't there for my icy bitch days.

"Ashley probably said or did something really stupid. I haven't seen her that upset in a while." Christi said.

"Umm she was angry? She didn't look angry." Said Austin.

Christi laughed. "Oh she wasn't angry. My guess is that she skipped angry. Took a flying leap over pissed off and furious and is now in her 'freeze the world over and not give a damn while she does it' stage. It's when she looks her calmest that you really need to worry." Christi said.

Just then I heard the front door slam open. "Where is she? Is she okay?" I heard Ashley ask frantically. The moment I heard his voice. The temperature in my room dropped and everything glittered with a layer of frost.

"What the hell did you do? She's in her shell Ashley. She hasn't used her shell in over a year. She's up in her room probably plotting how to murder you right now." Growled Sammi.

Ashley told them what happened and I heard a loud smack and Ashley yelped. "You idiot! You know how seriously she takes that stuff. You know how hesitant she was to even accept you in the first place! Now look what you've done!" Christi said.

When I thought about how long it had taken me to accept him and what was happening now the temperature dropped further. Apparently it wasn't just my room anymore though. "Umm is that ice on the stairs?" Alan asked. I heard Ashley curse.

Footsteps sounded on the stairs and then someone was knocking on my door. "Babe. Please. Can I come in. I need to talk to you. Please." Ashley pleaded. I growled but let him walk in. He opened the door and shivered at the blast of frigid air that came through. He walked in shutting the door behind him and sat on my bed next to me. I stared up at the ceiling and ignored him. He sighed.

"I'm sorry. I'm such an ass. I shouldn't have said any of that to you. I was just afraid that you didn't want me around anymore. I was afraid you were going to NY to get away from me. I didn't even think about the fact that you might not have auditioned. I just don't want to lose you baby. Your my everything. I can't be without you. Your my other half. My mate. And I really am sorry." He said his voice cracking. I glanced over to him and saw a tear rolling down his face. He was afraid he would lose me.

My shell broke and I sat up and reached over to him. He pulled me close and we stayed like that for awhile. "I'm sorry to. No more fighting okay?" I asked him and he nodded. We stayed like that for awhile. Just wrapped in eachothers arms.
