His Fallen Angel

Chapter 2. I Just Want To Play

I was now sitting on Andy's bed next to him, just trying to talk to him. He was shaking uncontrollably, eyes flickering towards the door every few seconds.

"What do they do to you?" I asked.

"They are here every night. I haven't slept in weeks. Whenever I do, they hurt me," Now I was taking notice, he had very big bags under his eyes.

"How do they hurt you?" Andy hesitated before lifting up his shirt. I gasped. He had a perfectly sculpted body, the planes of his abs were lined with claw marks. They were fresh, and had dry blood on them.

"I shut my eyes for 10 minutes. I woke up to laughing, and I had more marks,"

"Do they hurt?" I asked, staring at them. They were so similar to the ones I had on my wings from almost 100 years ago.

"Yes," I lightly traced the marks, concentrating on them. Beneath my fingers, the marks slowly fading into scars. Andy looked completely shocked.

"I'm sorry I can't make them disappear completely. I can only heal them so they don't hurt anymore," I apologised.

"No, that doesn't matter. Thank you,"

"You're welcome."

Andy and I sat quietly for about an hour, me healing any of his injuries that have happened to them because of the demons. The ghosts couldn't hurt you physically, but they could mentally and emotionally. It was then that we heard giggles from the hallway.

"What was that?" I asked, seeing Andy pulling at his hair.

"I've never seen her, but there's a little ghost girl who runs down the hallway every night. She laughs, and she never comes in here, but she tells me to come out," I looked at the door and got up, heading for the door.

"Where are you going?" Andy asked.

"Just to check it out," I answered.

"Please don't leave me alone,"

"Don't worry Andy. I'll be right back," I smiled.

"I'm coming with you," Andy quickly stood up and grabbed my hand tightly. I took a deep breath and opened the door. The hallway was extremely cold, and there was a little girl running around. A ghost girl. She was very cute though.

"Hello," the girl greeted us with a smile.

"Hello. Why do you keep running around?" I asked her, slowly walking over to her. Andy's grip on my hand tightened.

"I get bored. There's nothing to play with. I just want to play,"

"What's your name?" Andy asked, motioning her to come closer.

"I'm Evelyn," the girl giggled, skipping towards us.

"I'm Andy, and this is Ariel,"

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"My daddy didn't love me anymore, so he choked me. And there are meanies in the attic. I don't like them,"

"Come on." Andy gently grabbed her small hand, and we walked back into the room, closing the door behind us.
