There's a Fine Line Between Love and Hate
Chapter Sixteen
[Cat]
Ok. I’m pretty sure Raven likes Jonas. I mean, she always looks at him with this glint in her eye and she always blushes when he compliments her. The weird thing is, I think he likes her back. I mean, he always stares at her when she isn’t looking and he smiles when she does and gets all nervous when she talks to him. Personally, I think it’s absolutely adorable!
“Hey Cat?” I heard Lexi ask. I turned my head towards her letting her know she had my attention.
“Don’t you thing Raven likes your brother? I mean look at her!” She whisper yelled to me. I took a glance at Raven and she turned back to Jonas and smiled at him. He blushed a little and waved while Jinxx just chuckled a little. I nodded my head. Lexi smirked and turned forward again. I smiled to myself and didn’t let out a peep. I hate it when people like Xander come up and think that I think I’m better than everyone else.
I don’t talk because of an incident that happened when I was 10. I didn’t talk until two years ago when I turned 14. It was Raven who managed to get me to talk. She kept bothering me until I finally cracked and told her to shut up. At that time, she smirked at me and said, ‘You can talk. I knew it.’
I smiled at the memory. I looked up and we were at the office. Raven knocked on the door and said,
“Hello? This is Raven Ferguson, Blaze Pac, Cat Pac, and Lexi Amberson.” The door slowly opened to reveal a man who looked to be in his 20’s. He had a bit of a shadow and the first two buttons of his shirt was unbuttoned. He had small bags under his eyes and it looked like he stood at about 5’8”
“Hello girls it’s very nice to meet you. My name is Harry Compton and starting now I will be your new manager." Raven let out a small chuckle and said,
"No need to be so formal. It's no big deal really. I hate that crap." He laughed loudly and said
"Wow I just met you about 5 seconds ago and I already like you. Well go a head and call me Harry."
"Well I'm Raven Ferguson."
"I'm Blaze."
"And I'm Lexi" It was silent for a moment until he looked at me, expecting an answer.
"Cat."
"Ok then how bout' we head on over to the recording room. Then he lead us over the recording room, where Jeremy and Jonas were chatting and the rest of his band were sleeping.
"Um...?"
"Oh sorry. Hello I'm Jeremy Ferguson, Raven's dad. You must be their new manager." Jeremy said, shaking his hand.
"Yes that's me. I'm Harry Compton."
"Sorry about my band..." Jeremy said giving them a side glace. "They just didn't want to miss Raven's first recording. We're like a big family." Harry let out a soft chuckle and said,
"That's ok. Wait... Fuck aren't you guys Black Veil Brides?" Harry said, realization clear in his voice.
"Yes." Andy said while stretching his arms and gazelle legs.
"And you are..." Harry said, looking at Jonas.
"Oh hi I'm Jonas. Blaze and Cat's brother." They shook hands and then Harry got right to business. "Ok ladies. We're gonna do a few demos. Do you have any songs we could do to get a feel for your sound?"
"Oh yeah!" Raven said while she took off her backpack. She rummaged through it for a second and then she pulled out her black leather song book. She flipped through a few pages and then said "Here's the songs that we all know."
Harry looked through them for a moment and said "Here. This one's perfect. It'll show off all your skills. Ok so what we're gonna do is record one all together and then individually." We all nodded and picked up our instruments. Well my drums were already in there but I picked up my sticks. We all wrote this song together. It was sort of one of those songs that you write really fast because it just all flows out. We couldn't think of an ending but I'm pretty sure Andy helped Raven with that.
"Ok girls whenever your ready." Blaze started the song off and then we all faded in and Raven started singing.
Where are the people that accused me?
The ones who beat me down and bruised me

When we finished we all walked out and Raven was a bit out of breath. CC pounced on her and said "Rave! You were so good!!"
"Ugh CC get off me! We aren't done yet!" CC pouted and then sat of the couch.
"Ok girls that was great! Now Cat. You go in there, and put on these headphones." I nodded and walked in.

When the recording was over we decided to go get some lunch. "Pizza Hut!!!!!" Jake yelled. We all groaned but he was driving soo. Yeah. It sort of wasn't our choice.
