Nobody's Hero

“I really don’t think you should go.”

“I don’t care what you think.”

“Addisan, I’m looking out for you.”

“No, you’re not, Andy! You’re just against Ashley and I dating. Listen, we’re dating, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

“I’m trying to do what’s best for everybody. Do you not get that there is terrible tension between everyone in the band because of this? You are our little sister, but you’re Ashley’s girlfriend. And Blake he—”

“What does Blake have to do with any of this?”

Andy shook his head at me, clearly pissed. “You’re so blind to it, Addie!”

I had no idea what he was talking about. The other day, Blake had a look of hurt on his face after Ashley announced he was taking me on our first date. Later that day, I talked to Blake about it, and he said there was nothing wrong, and I know he was telling the truth, so I don’t know what I can be blind to. “Andy, what am I blind to?”

“Blake, he’s in love with you, Addisan! Do you not see the way he looks at you?”

“He is not in love with me, but nice try Andrew. Listen to me, I am going on this tour, whether you like it or not. I’m going to have a good time with everyone.” He just shook his head at me. “Andy, you guys are the headlining band of a huge music festival! Why are you trying to get me out of it?”

He took a deep breath and then looked at me. “This has nothing to do with Ashley, okay?” I nodded, crossing me arms over my chest. I was going to say something but Andy began speaking. “We don’t know what bands are going to be with us on this tour, and I don’t want Bring Me there. I don’t want you to have to be in that constant suffering around him.”

I appreciated that Andy was looking out for me, but everything with Oli was going to be fine. I know for a fact that they aren’t going to be on the tour with Black Veil. “I’m going.” I ended the conversation with that and went up to my room. I pulled out my tour suitcase and started filling it up with everything that I would need.

I finished very shortly and pushed the suitcase to the other side of the room. I plugged my phone in to my portable speaker and started playing some La Dispute, since I was in the mood just to relax.

I heard the door open and a couple minutes later slam, that means that Andy and Jinxx left to go to the studio. The guys want to add some final touches to the album, and get it finished before we do leave for tour. We leave in three weeks, and they are sure that they can get it out in time.

My phone has been blowing up lately with Twitter notifications from fans with screenshots of the tour dates, excited to see the boys, and surprisingly me. I was just laying down in my bed, looking up at the ceiling and thinking. Thinking about everything, mostly about how this tour is going to go down. Although I’m 100% sure that Bring me the Horizon isn’t going to be on this tour, there is that worst case scenario playing in my mind. If they do come on tour with us, I’m screwed. Oliver told me that I’m in hell, and that no one can protect me.

All the thinking had me sick to my stomach and I couldn’t handle it anymore, and I soon drifted off into a deep sleep.

My eyes jolted open, the music wasn’t playing anymore and there was an uneven amount of weight on the foot of the bed. Someone was sitting there. I just didn’t know who. I couldn’t move my head, it was practically glued to my pillow. The mystery person wasn’t speaking, nor moving. I picked my head up, and I felt woozy. It felt like a drummer boy was banging his sticks on the inside of my head.
The person’s back was facing me, and I instantly recognized it. “Blake?” I questioned, my voice barely above a whisper. “What are you doing?”

Blake sniffled and soon turned around to face me. His face was red and puffy, “Addie.” That’s the only thing he said. I instantly forgot about my headache and jumped up to go hug him. He was in a bad state and the least I could do was hold my best friend and listen to him.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, mumbling it into his chest.
“I don’t know how to say this, I really don’t.” he croaked out. He’d been crying for a long time, and I knew that. “You’re going to hate me.”

“Blake, I could never hate you,” I admitted.

He let out a sigh and removed himself from my grip. He kneeled down in front of my bed and looked at me. “Addie, I love you.”

My heart wrenched when he said that. “Blake I love you too.”

He shook his head at me and stood up, pacing in a small circle. “No, Addisan, I’m in love with you. Seeing you with Ashley makes my heart hurt.”

I looked Blake in his bright green eyes, I stood on my feet on my bed. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I inched my way closer to him and kissed him. He was shocked, but he seemed even more shocked when I answered him verbally, “I’m with Ashley,” I whispered. “But, my feelings for you are strong, Blake.”

“Addisan, I really love you.”

“I—”

“Addie come on we have a meeting!” I looked at Blake apologetically and then made my way downstairs. I smiled at my brother and Ashley came up to me.

“I’m so in love with you,” he whispered. “And my goal is to Nobody’s Hero but yours.”

and here it is. the sad end of Nobody's Hero. But is is okay because the first chapter of the sequel will be up within the next week or two.
