"Whatcha doing, Ads?" My dad asked, slowly walking in my room. I smiled at him.

"I'm looking towards getting my GED," I smiled. "Dad, I really want to go somewhere in life. As much as I love being on tour with them, I want a real job, but I think I'll be merch girl until I can find that real job."

"I'm really proud of you, Addisan. Me and your mom. You're getting back on track, and I don't think I've ever seen you this motivated." He laughed at the last one. "But, I do think you should look towards getting a job as well, until you are ready to go back to California."

"I don't want to get a job," I huffed. My dad gave me a look. "But, yeah, yeah, I know I have to. I just ugh, I don't want to get a job."

"How much longer do you plan on staying in Ohio? Do you want to get your GED here, or back in California?" That was a tough choice. "I mean, you want to go back to California sooner or later. I mean, your boyfriend and your brother are there. Why would you want to stay in Ohio with your two old parents? You could be having fun!"

"I don't want to go back to California yet, dad." The only thing my parents didn't know about, was Oli. I wasn't ready to tell my parents about what happened with me and him. I can't tell them the real reason why I don't want to go back to California. "I don't know, I'm getting used to it here. But, I shouldn't get too comfortable, because sooner or later, I'll be flying back out to Cali."

He smiled. "You can stay as long as you need, Addie, you know that. I just didn't think you would want to be here this long with your parents. I thought you would want to go back and spend time with Ash and Andy."

I shrugged my shoulders. "It's still hard to believe Ashley is my boyfriend now..." I trailed off. "I really love him dad."

"I know, you always have. You always had a crush on Ashley."

"I'm scared, though. Ashley just goes through girls, and I don't want him to do that with me."

"I'm pretty sure he won't. He's in love with you, Ads. And plus, your brother is very protective, so Ashley won't hurt you in anyway."

"Yeah."

"Well, I have to head out. I'll see you when I get home." He kissed the top of my head and left my room. I closed my laptop and went downstairs. My mom sat at the kitchen table looking at papers. She was holding her hair back in her hands, she looked frustrated.

"What's wrong, mom?" I asked. She looked at me and smiled.

"Nothing. I'm just tired and bills, bills, bills. They suck."

"Yeah. I'm going to try and get my GED. I want to go get a real job and have a career and have a cute little family."

I thought about having a family. I feel like if I had a family, I would fuck something up. I always do. "You're nineteen Addisan, you have plenty of time to worry about a family."

I smiled. "I know, I just really want a little family. I want a boy and two girls an-"

"And you want them to be Ashley's." I rolled my eyes at her.

"Of course I want them to be Ashley's. I love him, and I can see myself with him in the future."

"But, your brother can't," she laughed. I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Andy doesn't want you and Ashley together, he thinks Ash will hurt you."

It's nice to know my own brother doesn't support my relationship with the man I dearly love. I rolled my eyes. Andy is just being protective. I didn't support him and Juliet's relationship. But, that's a different story.

My mom picked up her coffee mug. "So, when do you plan on going back with your brother?"

I shrugged.

"I don't know. When I'm ready."

"I think you're ready. Addie, I'm not trying to kick you out. But, I think you should go and try and get your GED in California. It would make sense, because I think you're going to spend most of your life there with Ashley, so you should go back soon."

"I don't know. I don't think I can."

I know I can't.
