Nobody's Hero

Ashley looked at me. I think being with him made me realize how much I actually do love him. My brother looked between both of us and then excused himself. "Addisan, listen," he began, scratching the back of neck. "I want to apologize for everything I've said and done to you. You didn't deserve how I treated you, I treated you like total shit and you don't deserve that. I guess I just don't know how to express my feelings."

I looked at him. "What do you mean?" I asked, looking at him dead in the eye.

"I love you Addie. Actually, I'm in love with you," he gushed, looking at me with his gorgeous brown eyes. I felt the heat rush up to my cheeks. I couldn't say anything, nothing would come out. "Say something, please?" The smile vanished into a frown.

I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around his torso, pulling him close to me. I got on my tip toes, and connected our lips. He soon kissed back. It just felt so right. It felt like this is what was supposed to happen. We pulled apart and smiled at each other. He pulled me into his chest, his arms around my whole body. I leaned my head against his chest, as his chin was laying on mine. "That was so much better than words, Addie."

"I love you, Ashley. I always have." I smiled. This was right, this was how things were supposed to go. "So, what do we do now?" I asked.

"Well, I think it starts by going back to Cali. All three of us, together."

I couldn't go back to California, not yet. I pulled away from him. "Ash, I want to, but I just can't. Not yet, I'm not ready to go back..." I muttered, grabbing my arm. "I'm sorry."

"You don't have anything to be sorry about. I understand. You stay here as long as you need and we'll talk everyday, I promise, Addie."

"Okay," I said. "I love you."

"I love you too, Addisan."

We kissed real quick, before going back in the house where my mom and brother were talking. "So..." my mom said, her eyebrows raising.

"I think everything is fine now," I said, looking between my mom, Andy, and Ashley.

"Great to hear!" She said.

My brother than spoke up, "So, you can get all of your stuff ready and we can get a flight ready for you tonight and we can all head back to California."

"I'm not going back to California, Andy." I said. "Not yet, I'm not ready. I'm starting to get my life on track, and when I'm ready I'm going to come back, we'll still talk everyday."

He smiled, standing up from the couch, engulfing me in a hug. "Anything to make you happy, Ads. I think we're going to head out now, got a lot of work to do back home!"

I held onto my brother tighter and when we let go of each other, went staright to Ashley. "I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too," I said.

"I'll call when we get back to California." I nodded and we pulled apart, attaching our mouths together.

"Hey! None of that in front of Momma Biersack!"
