Nobody's Hero

The last two people I expected to see on the other side of this door was Andy and Ashley. I tried to slam the door in their face's, but Andy's hand stopped it half way through. "Addie, we need to talk," he pleaded.

I didn't want to talk to him. I wanted him to go back to California so I could continue with my life here in Ohio. "I don't want to talk, Andy. I'm doing fine here, now go."

He shook his head. "Fine, but this wa-"

"Andrew! Is that you?" My mom's voice shouted from the driveway. Andy turned on his heel and nodded. My mom rushed over to Andy and Ashley, giving both of them hugs. "Why are you guys here?" She asked.

"Just came to see Addie," he said.

"Oh, I didn't know she told anyone she was down here, after.. what happened," my mom sighed.

"Well, we found out," Ashley chirped. "And we had to talk to her."

I was looking at my mom, hoping she wouldn't let them in, but she did.

"We have to talk Addie, it's important." We were sitting on the back patio and I sat with my arms crossed over my chest.

"What? What is there to talk about? Clearly, you don't want to talk to me about anything!" I hissed. "I thought you two weren't even talking." I muttered.

"Addie, everything I said back there was wrong, it was utterly wrong. I'm sorry, I don't know how I can make it up to you," my brother sighed, running a hand through his hairs. I brought my knees up to my chest. "I love you so much, Addisan. And I just have been lost without you."

I've missed Andy so much more. I just never realized it because I've been so angry. "Andy, I'm even more sorry."

"I'm sorry, I love you Addie," he whispered, standing up.

I followed in suit. "I love you too, Andy. And I'm also sorry."

He wrapped his arms around me and leaned his chin on my head as I dug my head into his chest.

We broke apart and I looked at Ashley. "What are you doing here?"
