Meet the family
That ain't gonna fly
I woke up at 5:00 a.m. the next morning got up, went take a shower and that's when I noticed that it was quiet. A little too quiet for this house. So instead I went down the stairs to find the guys still sleeping on the couch and me being me I decided to play a prank on them. I prayed that they were deep sleepers on my way back to my room to get my markers and a feather.
After I got the markers and feather I went to my bathroom to get the makeup that I don't use very often and by that I mean I don't use it all. I went back down the stairs, walked over to the guys and started applying the makeup. Oh, they're gonna kill me. Oh well.
Once I was done with the bright red lipstick I moved on to the bright blue and hot pink eye shadow then on to the blush and lots of it too. Once I was done with that I took out my markers and wrote 'Shh... he doesn't know.' on their foreheads. I took a picture and sent it to Kassie and Jade. Jade replied instantly with 'You're dead.' and Kassie sent back 'Those were the good times. :p'. Let's just say Kassie and I did this to some boys who we needed to get revenge on. Yup, I'm SO dead.
I took a shower got dressed in this http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=89297655 and went down the stairs to see 5 VERY upset men. I now regret the prank because they look like they want to kill me. I try to sneak back up to my room, but sadly Ashley has really good hearing so he caught me caught ."HALT!" Ashley said in a very firm voice and I knew that I was screwed. "Come fourth!' Andy says and I walked over to them. Yup. I'm SO screwed.
I didn't even have a chance to write up a will. I'm going to die young. Wow, I am WAY too dramatic. Next thing I know Jinxx was digging his finger into my ribs and it hurt too{A/N-My dad used to do that to me and trust me it hurt} I knew there was going to be a bruise later.
Once he stopped I turn to Andy, Ashley, Jake, and CC look at them and say "Okay guys, go clean up." I said pushing them up the stairs. When I knew they were in their rooms I started on breakfast, I made eggs, French toast, bacon, and freshly squeezed orange juice, then I set the table and poured the orange juice. I sighed and looked at my amazing work and I couldn't believe that I had such an amazing family.
I was once again pulled out of my thoughts by Andy "Wow who did this?" I looked at them, smiled and said "I did, Well dig in!" and that's exactly what they did too. After we were done we got in the clown car again and this time I was stuck between Andy and Ashley the car. The drive to where we were going was pretty quiet. The place we were going to was just a restaurant. That's where it all takes a turn for the worst.
I went to the bathroom and when I got in there the first thing I heard was a bunch of snotty brats talking about the guys. When I was at the orphanage I was always protective over Kassie and Jade, even though they were older, and I scared the living daylights out of all the boys so they didn't dare mess with Kassie and Jade because I was violent and protective.
I didn't like what they were saying at all, in fact I hated it. They noticed me and said "Well, well, well look who the cat dragged in girls. Hi Independence." That's when I realized who it was, Lacy. She was the person who made me resort to violence, eventually the ditch was adopted. "I heard that you got adopted by an emo band, am I right?" She asked with a smirk on her lips. How dare she say that about them?! "Listen here ditch, they are some of the nicest men you'll ever meet and next time you insult them, trust me honey, it ain't gonna be pretty." I say in my thick southern accent that only makes appearances when I'm REALLY, REALLY, REALLY mad and I haven't been this made since last time I saw her. Miss Kate said that I get that from my mom, my mom was friends with Miss Kate.
She smiled and said "See you and your loser family around." and what really made me want to lunge at her was when she said "I bet they just adopted you for publicity and they will take you back when you screw up." That was the final straw for me. "Oh, was that a new top you have on?" I asked as I dumped some grape soda on her head. Did I mention the top was white? and as I set the glass down I said "Oppsie daisy!"
Then I remember 'Hey! YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A RESTUANT!' I turn around to see all 5 of the guys staring at me with wide eyes. I will now repeat a phrase that I've said a lot to day. Yup. I'm screwed. All five if the guys cursed under their breath and I realize that they saw most of it. So I do what I do best and run off to the car I wanted some time alone but sadly they are right behind me.
The drive home was pretty quiet. I sat in the shotgun seat looking out the window and sometimes I would look at all the guys. I looked around for the 3rd time and made eye contact with Jake and he gave me the 'I'll-talk-to-you-later' look and shook his head. When we got back to the house I went straight up to my room and layed down.
A while later I hear a knock on my door and the guys come in. They look at me for a while and I was scared to talk because I wasn't exactly calm yet. Luckily Ashley was the first to speak "Independence you are grounded for a week." was all he said. Okay that ticked me off and I wasn't going to stand for it either.
"That ain't gonna fly." I say like I'm boss and guess what? I still have the southern draw. They looked up and Ashley stands up looking as if he's trying to intimidate me and he may be a lot taller than me, but he doesn't scare me "What did you just say to me?" He asked me clearly losing his patience. Good. I sized up to him, looked him directly in the eyes and said "I. Said. That. Ain't. Gonna. Fly." I hear my door open and close quietly I know that Jinxx, Jake, Andy, and CC left us alone. Great some Daddy Daughter time.
"Excuse me?" He asked me "You're excused." I replied pointing towards the door. That's what really ticked him off because it turned into a war zone after that.
After an hour of screaming at each other we made our way down the stairs and I told them everything. They let me off the hook. Well sort of, I have to do dishes for 2 weeks but that's okay. After we said goodnight CC came into my room and said "I'm proud of you, you stood up for what you believe in and stood up to Ashley. Night kiddo." He said before walking out of my room.
I was extremely tried so when my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.
