Look Into My Eyes, Tell Me I'm Wrong

*Ivy's Point of View*
The blackness was... comforting. A warmth spread through my body slowly. It was barely there, like the warmth of the first morning of spring. It rose just as the sun does, slowly gaining heat. It started in my fingers, the increase. Hotter.
Hotter.
Hotter still.
I looked down at my body in the blackness. My fingertips are glowing hot white. They combust.
What's happening?
I wonder with not much interest at all, even though my body appears to be catching on fire. My legs explode into flames, along with my torso. I gently put my head backwards, as instinct inclines me to do. My neck comes under the flames and then my hair. I feel it lift, and fly outwards as if I've landed in water. My head dips under the flames. My whole body is under the intense warmth of the flames. And then the sensation fades from my hands and feet, to my elbows and knees, up to where only my torso and neck and hair is on fire. And then it all fades, except my hair, which flares and sparks behind me in a fury of destructive flames. My feet land gently on some surface, and I realize I'm perched on skyscraper stilettos. Soft silk flutters around my legs, sliding over my skin in an embrace of fabric. Every inch of my legs, coated in silk. I feel the fire move into my scalp, rushing down my body in a final furious embrace. My hair spills around my shoulders in a soft embrace of white threads. My whole body is encased in silk. Except my arms and shoulders. A sweetheart bust corset silk dress. I look up.
Jake.
"Jake.." I mouth.
"Ivy.." he mouths back.
And suddenly he explodes into flames. Myheart goes with him.
"JAKE!" I fall to my knees next to him.
And so it goes..
