Unbroken

The Mortician's Daughter

Unbroken

I ran my hand through my tangled hair as I slumped over on the park bench. I let out a sigh and I absentmindedly tapped my foot on the wood shaving ground. I was tired, beat and almost a shell since my exhastion had surpassed a normal rate. I new I showed it too.

Until she came up.

Her dark ringlets falling down her shoulders as she ran towards me, holding her teddy bear. "Mommy!" When I heard her voice I let exhaustion become my fuel to smile and open my arms for her to jump in, which she did. She sat in my lap for a good five minutes and talked about her friends.

A few moments later a girl with blonde hair ran up and smiled. "I wanna play with, Annabelle!" The youg girl said as she pointed to my daughter.

A guy, covered in tattoos, with shaggy dark colored hair walked up and picked her up and put her on his shoulders. "Kenadee, she may have been busy."

I held up a hand. "No. No. She can go." Annie got out of my lap and ran along as the man sat Kenadee down and she ran off too. He sat down beside me. "Your have a beautiful daughter, uuuhhh?"

He laughed. "Thanks and it's Mitch. Mitch Lucker. Annabelle is cute but she reminds me of someone... her face." My face heated up but he didn't notice. "Probably just my imagination. I see a lot of people on tour."

Tour. He had to have been talking about- "Your in a band?"

"Yeah, Suicide Silence. Ever heard of us?"

I nodded. "Yeah, your music is great I never knew the band members though. I don't listen to you guys much since my mom kinda thought bad of it..."

"Oh, you like us so that's all that counts right? I get the parent problem a lot through fan mail but I don't really fucking care. I love what I do and I'm happy so screw em'!"

I laughed lightly. "Yeah, I guess so."

He got up and waved back at me. "Talk to you later, uhhh?"

"Veronica. It's Veronica."

He smiled at me. "Talk to you later, Veronica." He walked off.

After a moment Annie ran up, obviously tired. "Can we go home?"

"Yeah. Let's go home."

I laid in bed four hours. It was quiet... like I liked it but when I turned over to feel a empty but once was filled space beside me, I wanted to cry.

Obviously when Jaxon found out the baby wasn't his he bolted but that was when Annabelle was one and half so she at least knew him that man anything...

Andy... haven't spoken to him since that night.

That fight.

His words still hurt me to this day and the fact that Annabelle may never meet her dad kills me. He may never meet his daughter.

I planned on telling him but Black Veil Brides blew up after the tour, now they're gone all the time and Andy changed his number the next day after we fought.

Sometime I get calls from a block number and I hear silence, sometimes breathing and for some odd reason I feel like it's him... not knowing what to say but then again why would he still care after almost four years?

Who knows? I don't.
