Only a Memory

“Are you sure you can do this?” I ask Annabel as she gets ready for Cut Throat Vixen’s video shoot for their song American Boys. It’s been a couple days since Sixx died and I’m worried about her.

“Andy, I’m fine.” She assures me. “It’s just a music video; I can fake happy long enough to film this.” I just sigh, causing her to smile as she snakes her arms around my waist. “I really appreciate you being worried about me; but I’m fine.”

“I love you.” I tell her before gently kissing her lips. “Even if you look like a white trash truck stop hooker.” She playfully rolls her eyes before pushing me a bit.

“You’re mean.” She pouts as she puts on her black Playboy cowgirl hat on.

“And I swear you’re the female version of Ashley.” I chuckle.

“Just think about what you just said.” She giggles as she walks away, leaving me there extremely confused. She looks back at me and laughs. “You look so adorable when you’re confused.” I flip her off as she returns with blowing me a kiss before turning back around and walking away with me not far behind.

“I’m stealing that hat!” Ashley exclaims as he walks up to us when the band is on their break. I just laugh as I wrap my arms around Annabel and pull her towards me. She turns around a bit and smiles before leaning into me. “God, stop being so cute; you’re giving me cavities. Annabel just sticks her tongue out which Ashley returns.

“You guys are so immature.” Carrie laughs as she wraps an arm around Ashley’s waist. Both Annabel and Ashley shrug their shoulders as Jake and his girlfriend Ella walk up to us.

“I thought you guys were going for the classy look?” Jake questions. “You girls look like truck stop hookers.” Trinity and Lizzy look at themselves while Annabel just laughs.

‘Andy already told me that.” She chuckles. “And that look will come into play in our next video. It’s like the continuous of this video.”

“So what is the point of this video?” Ashley asks.

“All of us are at this bar performing our song and there is this one boy in particular that catches the eye of our lovely lead singer and she ends up going home with me.” Lizzy explains.

“And the next song is basically us falling out of love and I’m writing about how much I miss him and shit like that.” Annabel finishes off.

“Have I heard this song?” Ashley questions.

“The only person besides the band that has heard it is Andy.” She replies.

“I did?” I question.

“I played it for you the night of Sammi’s party.” she replies as she turns around a bit to look at me. “Break In ring a bell?”

“Oh yea!’ I chuckle. “I love that song!” Annabel kisses the top of my nose before turning around just as the director of the video comes up to us.

“Come on guys, we’re almost done. Let’s get this shit wrapped!” He exclaims as everyone jumps onto their feet.

“Finally, I’ve got a girlfriend to get home to.” Hunter says.

“Well I’ve got a weekend getaway to get to!” Annabel laughs as she pushes Hunter as they're walking away from us.

“When are you going to put a label on this?” Ashley questions as he walks over towards me. I just sigh before pulling out a cigarette, putting it between my lips, before lighting it. “I know it’s killing you not being able to call her your own.”

“Am I that transparent?” I chuckle.

“You really are.” Jake chuckles as he joins us. “Why are you so afraid to just tell her?”

“I just broke up with Juliet, I don’t want her to think she’s another rebound again.” I explain. “I’m terrified history is going to repeat itself…”
