I don't know how I've never come across these rants before but omfg if this aint the same shit my sister and I talk about. Granted we are guilty of some stuff because it's what the people want, but still.

(Shoot me for saying it but) Trash is why I liked hanging out on the 1D site so much despite not being a fan. Everyone knows everyone, everyome's exchanging ideas, reviews are done, everyone tries their hardest to be original with what they're doing because they're sick of cliches being cliche. And the authors. You wouldn't BELIEVE the writers I've had the pleasure of planning plots or creating characters with :) (one of my favourite people on there is a girl named XKALEIGHTSTYLES57X so on the off chance you're inclined to read some wicked AU's, look her up ;D). Because trash is the only shit that gets read around here, I've dumbed down my writing here so much I'm no longer interested in my stuff. THAT'S pathetic

It's so sad because 75% of the content on this site is the same carbon copy bullshit stories that have the same predictable endings get the attention and the ones that are actually good and people take time to do either never get finished or never start on the sequel they promised because not enough people liked it when the content that was written was good enough to be an actual book.

Oh my goodness! I absolutely HATE it when stories that are just horrible in general get all the love. It leaves us writers who are actually decent in the dust just like, 'Hello? I'm here, too... Wanna read my ORIGINAL/DECENT story?' But nooooo. I swear, it's like nobody's read an actual book that are PUBLISHED and made by people who actually get paid and everything. It makes me sick. It's like none of them heard of conflict, character development, and all that jazz, and it's just utter bullshit!

Oh my god I mean I'm 17 and I'm not the best writer on the planet but shit I can write something that is at least tolerable to read. Like wtf is up with giving men who are in their mid 20's and higher the dialogue and maturity of middle schoolers....AND THATS THE SHIT THAT GETS ALL THE LOVE AND ATTENTION IT DOES NOT DESERVE?!?!? WHAT?!?! "Omg there's Andy I've only met him once and I know I'm only 14 but I feel such a strong connection between us so I approach him and kiss him and tell him I love him and the end".......why? Just why? It's stuff like that that makes me sit back and think if for some reason Andy Biersack decided to read some of this shit he'd probably like 'um...what?' Or he'd laugh and think that fanfiction is just a joke like most people do sadly.

Hell, I'm 21 and I don't even have being 20+ figured out yet lol so I tend to set everything around high school or freshman years of college so I can go back and give my characters the reactions I SHOULD'VE had then (but didn't because I was a 16 year old basket of emotions).

And I won't pretend like I haven't met someone and started dating like a week later, but that's so freaking rare. And if the OC is the bad ass logical person everyone looks to for advice, why is she totally down for marrying a guy in a band she just met a week ago? Why is he proposing to her after a week? And the next day she has their baby? And then he cheats and then she dates his friend. Then they make up. They get married. They go on their honeymoon and I'm just like "this shit started on Sunday and it's only Wednesday. Do you have any concept of time?" So confusing.

It's even worse when you read it and you can just tell it was written by someone who's like 12 even though there characters are in there 20's and you add the fast moving romance on top of that, I could throw my phone at the wall it pisses me off so much.

That is ESPECIALLY a huge pet peeve of mine because I don't believe in love at first sight. It's pretty much the g-rated version of the band adopting a girl in chapter one and making her their sex slave by two.

What I can't stand is when authors attempt to write a romance that has absolutely no build to the relationship, it's just written like some stupid love at first sight and "as soon as I saw her I had to ask her out because she's so pretty" bullshit. Lord Jesus please just stop!!!!

Exactly! No one takes on the criticism! I've given a few people some advice - I even put up a story if anyone wanted help - and they don't take it! I've noticed a lot of people start a story, they get 2 chapters in and that's it. They walk. I was subscribed to ones that were promising... But no go.
Give my stuff a read. Ignore the bad set up of 'Is He For Me?' in the first few chapters - rookie mistake - but that was like over 2 years ago hah. But I like where I've taken the stories...
They're different... I think anyways.

I don't tend to be original here and I've admitted it (the few chapters I have up for HomeBound say "this chapter sucks but then again, so does this adoption storyline." And Love Bites is my little cliche-as-fuck-supernatural baby which I wrote during the vampire hey-day just to see if I could do it better.

I'll admit I was a rookie at one point too but a lot of people either can't take the constructive criticism or ignore it completely. And then those with the bad grammar egg on others with bad grammar and it gets disgusting -.- I've actually lost interest in this site because of it so I spend most of my time either on the 1D site or Wattpad.

So much sarcasm, but it's good. I mean, yes a lot of the stories on here either have bad grammar, bad storyline or both...

And same here, I really can't stand supernatural stories on here... They just seem so unrealistic. I know they're not meant to be, but they're just probably badly put together...
I think it's just the grammar and writing skills, that some of the people on here don't have. And yes, a lot of these people are 13, but it shocks me that, that is how they write in high school.
And every story on here has the same plot because no one knows how to be original. Believe me, I try to be as original as I can.
