My problem is that I normally have some kind of scene in my head that comes from a dream or something from a cliche crap-piece but I struggle with coming up with a plot around it. I have this idea for a fantasy novel thay came to me when I was 11 and it wasn't until I turned 17 that I decided "well fuck, there's a war between these two kingdoms, but why?" and finally came up with a reason for it. And I'm bad at outlining. I just have to sit down, reread and reread until I figure out what the most logical step is. Like of I get stuck at two characters getting in a fight, I have to think about how they solve it or if they solve it. Writing's a big game of improv for me which probably isn't the best method lol (and I know what you mean about abandoned stories. I hoard stories in my library on Wattpad until there's a decent number of chapters that I can binge on)

(And a few months ago, I found where some bitch stole the first chapter and put it on Wattpad as her own like a year ago and little hoe still hasm't answered my passive agressive message -.-) Thank you! I'm trying to add in a few details along the way or change the wordimg in phrases that sound awkward to me so that's something :P

i constantly have to deal with forcing myself through less fun/difficult chapters. it's happened in all of my stories, multiple times. right now, both of my unfinished stories are stuck in that, and i just have to outline what i want to accomplish sometimes in ridiculous detail, and make myself just do it. if i fail, i can always edit (i write my shit out in word first) or rethink what i was missing that needed to be done.

i think that those lull times, combined with a lack of outlining in advance/plan for the entire story's direction, would be the main reasons why so many stories get abandoned. so know you're not alone, dude!

and agreed, Pocky is the rap master grand super flash! i love both of the stories she's slowly working on now (zombies and mob).

there's this one great story on there, it's by this girl who's tumblr name is something akin to 'universe in my own head,' but she updates so infrequently, i've pretty much decided not to read any more until it's completed, because i keep forgetting what's going on.

Thank you :D I had this here for a while before deleting it (like a genius) but my doll Chiyami found MOST of ehat I had, which means the later climatic chapters I'll have to rewrite (and considering I started this at 17, there's minimal editting because I'm focusing more on typos, and I'm 21 now? They're bound to be so much better)

Holy shit yes. I hate sitting down and trying and begging to come up with ideas for stories and continuing things I don't feel but every once in a blue moon, I guilt myself for not updating something and try it again (like today I tried typing up the next part for a 1D story called Stylish Payne I haven't touched in three months) and suddenly get enough ideas to force myself through the "shit/ current" chapter. I'm gonna do that.

And with wattpad, there's like two authors I've read stuff by that I'd geniunely call good. One's Pockey from here (I love Pockey, such a doll) and this one that does all sorts of music fics from Bowie and Jackson to GnR whose username is MusicFic24 I think. But I'm willing to settle for something if I can see the potential in a story line and try messaging that person about it.

i've tried checking out wattpad, but there's so much crap on there, with seemingly no way i can figure out to filter through it...

i just can't stand reading crap. i'm not saying fanfic writers need to be neil gaiman, but i only have a tolerance for so much suck.

fear not: i may be an envrio-hippie-earth-muffin-type, but i'm not a preachy dickwad. i still love Steven Tyler (um: how can i not, right?). i once heard rumor that Alice Cooper was another conservative, and i love him too. because, after having seen him live, i have no idea how anyone could not love him either! it's kind of like how i'm a vegetarian. i feel like: i'll just go ahead and be a vegetarian, but everyone else go do their own thing. i'm not big on debate. :O)

(As a pot smoking conservative, I feel a mix of shock and "figures" about him being one lol) I mean the dude did grow up in the 50s when stuff was a bit more uptight. (Thinking of republican musicians, can Ted Nugent please just shut up and play guitar? He makes us look bad) I grew up on Ozzy so the entirety of my 21 years has been dedicated to him with the most recent 10-15 (depending if we're going with what I grew up with or when I really started to appreciate them) being spent on Guns and Aerosmith :X I'm forever late to the party XD

i love them both too, i've been a fan of Manson's for 22 years, and Aerosmith for 24. i'm also a psycho liberal, however, so i was bummed to hear Steven Tyler was a registered republican.

Steven Tyler is the utmost perfect Fucking human as far as I'm concerned. He's my idol, Prince Charming, favourite vocalist, and coolest dude rooting for the underdog all wrapped up into one giant glittering entity :O holy Fucking shit now I'm jelly lol (and Marilyn's another dream husband of mine so I'm not just jelly, I'm like full blown jam now)

i think the most famous person i've met would probably either be Al Gore or Steven Tyler. but it really depends on who i'm talking to, who s/he considers famous, you know? i've met Neil Gaiman, David Mack, and Marilyn Manson, and for all of those, i was so excited, i shook and teared up. but i was also super-psyched to meet Otep Shamaya and Agent Moulder, who are relatively less well-known.
