Those Dumb Fan Fiction Moments - Comments

I miss these :3

I currently have two stories ongoing on this site , and my roomie posts her stuff on Wattpad , and we've noticed a theme with the fanfics on both sites . We've reached the conclusion that roughly 90% of the stories are written with a main character who is a self - harming depressed emo chick , who is either abused by her parents or lives in an orphanage . Are people trying to say that these are the only type of girls who are interested in BVB ? If I read one more of these , I may run shrieking into the streets .

Not all of them . The OFC in my story is 5'10" tall , only an inch shorter than Ashley . She also has curly , normal color hair , a real job , and a non - standard name , WITH a middle name . Plus a normal family who doesn't hate her . So I suppose that makes her the anti - Christ of fanfic characters , right ?

I hate to be biased, but yes you should :P
I've had a lot of people tell me I'm a good writer, but I think that comes down to being able to write properly and structuring a story, as well as the storyline

That is very true. I am guilty of a lot of them. xD That's where I got many ideas from. I try to change things up and make the fanfics I write original. Plus, I've seen so many fanfics that are just simply repeating each other. I do like a lot of stories though. There are some really great authors on here. I might have to read yours. c:

I'm guilty of probably half this stuff, idk, but I what else is there to write about?
I always try to use proper spelling and grammar to make things easier.
I do switch POV's, but it makes it interesting to see how the other person reacts to the situation. Yes, a lot of the stories on here and very repetitive and predictable, but thats when you sift through and find the good ones. You might think it's a bit much, but I have a 3 part story and now looking at doing a prequel (yes, I'm very invested in it). Not all fanfics are the same though. Mine may run along the same lines as others, but I always try and set myself apart. I can't always do it, but yeah.
We're guilty of all this haha.
I do enjoy your rants, they are quite funny and most of the time true
